“In my 58 years of living in Spartanburg and passing Holmes hundreds, maybe thousands of times, today was the first time I had eaten there. Honestly, my homemade chili is better, but theirs is way better than a lot of places. I like the simplicity of their menu, and sitting there kinda took me back. The nostalgia of sitting in an old timey dinner was kinda nice.
Kid-friendliness: I didn't see any kids, but I'm guessing they are in school.

“I have loved the hotdog cafe since they were at their original location many years back. The hotdogs, burgers and fries are all great. My only complaint is that I don’t get to eat there anymore due to their limited hours. I work until 6pm Monday-Friday. For those of us that don’t work locally, even grabbing lunch here isn’t an option. I really hope one day they will decide to extend their hours or open on Saturday. Even if it’s just one Saturday a month so we all can enjoy their great food.“

“It had been a few years since I ate here because I am not a big hot dog fan but a friend wanted to go so I tagged along. I forgot what I was missing as soon as I walked in the door. The first thing that caught my attention was the FRIED BOLOGNA sandwich. This is my kryptonite so I had to give in!!! The bologna was burnt just like it should be and the fries were great also. It wont be years before I go back and I know what I am ordering.“

“This place is amazing. Their menu is filled with so many options that are delicious. I try to make it there at least twice a week. The chili is spot on. It goes great with chili dogs and chili cheese fries and even on their cheeseburgers. They even have fish platters that are awesome. You won't be disappointed. The staff is like a well oiled machine. There is almost no wait.“

“We have a tradition, I come to visit family in south Carolina, we always do one finger at Cook Out. It is a big group, 12. It puts a strain on the place. Amazingly, everyone in this picky group gets food they really like. Service was a little slow. Atmosphere s was to local fast food. But family time together with everyone happy, priceless!“
