Lady working the front counter was extremely rude. She must be the owner if she’s still working there after all these bad reviews

Passed through here a while back and wanted to share the positive experience I had. This place is called “The Real Deal” and it did not disappoint.I don’t feel that I ever had an authentic cheesesteak before until I stopped in. I asked Dana to prepare a sandwich the way she would eat it, to make sure I had a genuine experience. Her typical way of preparing a cheesesteak is with a prime cut of meat, finely chopped, with some onions and seasoning, and provolone or American cheese. The food was prepared quickly, with fresh ingredients.Because it’s not overloaded with toppings, you can really savor the flavors of the meat, cheese, bread, and seasonings. It’s a filling meal that doesn’t feel too heavy, greasy, or unhealthy because it’s prepared with care and top-notch ingredients.I order a 6” lunch special with fries and a soda, and it was reasonably priced compared to all the costly junk fast food that’s out there these days.If you check their Facebook, you can see that the menu is filled with a lot of offerings to satisfy any palate, and I’m positive they’ll all be equally as good.Stop in for a filling, tasty, and healthy lunch prepared with TLC by Dana - you won’t be disappointed!

I have been going here for quite a few years now. My mom was born and raised in Philly an I was born right over the Delaware in Jersey but spent a lot of my time in Philly, and have settled in here for about 10 years now. My husband is from down here and I have a joke with him… every time I see “Philly cheesesteak” anywhere down here I say to him, “oh look, the Philly plate of disappointment” ??? cuz the “cheesesteaks” down here a JOKE. But this is quite literally THE REAL DEAL. They gave it the perfect name and IDC how expensive it is I will keep coming back every once in a while to get a taste of home. The owner is a great guy, nice to talk to. My only complaint is that he gets new cashiers every few months. Sometimes they are rude, sometimes they don’t know what they are talking about, it’s always somethin! I just wish he could find some good front counter help like up north where the people see your phone number and answer the phone “the usual?” You know what I’m sayin? It would be 5 stars to me then.

Large portions of well seasoned flavorable meats served with a Real Deal downhome Philadelphia attitude. The owner loves to chop it up so be prepared for great conversation. Hell, I'm headed there right nah!?

I couldn't even come up for air while I was eating my Chicken Philly. I got peppers, onions, cheese, and mayo- no picture because I started eating immediately and finished like someone was going to take it away from me. Burned the roof of my mouth but it was so fresh, I didn't stop til I saw the bottom of the foil. They said Real Deal and MEANT it. Worth every penny.

Very good authentic Philly cheesesteak, a little pricey, but worth it.

The food was good and made fresh to order. We enjoyed the cheesecakes and french fries. The sweetie was homemade, too. It is definitely worth trying this place out since it's a little slice of heaven if you are definitely from back north. My only issue was that the woman could have been a bit friendlier when I had questions about the order.Parking: There is plenty of parking in front and all around the building.

Really solid Philly cheesesteak. Seasoned meat, melted cheese and the peppers, onions and mushrooms were exactly what I was looking for when I entered there. (And the visit was educational, too! I learned the difference between a sub and a hoagie. You can go yourself to find out if you don't know haha)

Great tasty Philly, but the black lady up front with the dreads had very bad attitude and was being aggressive and smart alec about my simple questions.

Was never told that Kool Aid was a drink option so that's a 1 star for me. Jk food was great and my coworker and I enjoyed chatting with the young lady running the place so I didn't dine and ditch. Will go back
