So nice to have something different. Great food, not huge portions just right size for lunch. Very pleasant owner.
These ladies are awesome... it is like sitting down for a tea (hot or cold) with your favorite aunt! I love visiting and they know so much about the area history — it is a treat to spend time with them!
What a Wonderful place for a Baby Shower. The Ladies went outta their way to make us WELCOME. Food was amazing, tea generous and happy time was had by all. We will return. Thank you so much.
Its a beautiful quaint place with a warm inviting environment and the food is great.
I went to a tea tasting at the Palmetto Tea Room and it was amazing! Friendly service and people. I will definitely be going there again.
What a wonderful experience! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great and Phyllis and Britney were super fun to visit with! We will definitely be back!
I did a taste testing on 3/16/17 for a Bridal Tea on 3/20/17. Both were excellent. Mrs. Phyllis and her staff went above and beyond to ensure our family & friends had their needs and wants met. The food and presentation exceeded expectations. I loved the quaintness of the venue and how they make you feel like you are the most important people in the world! I'm so excited to think of other opportunities to have more events here!
Our group of friends really enjoyed our afternoon at the Palmetto Tea Room yesterday! The owner and wait staff are so friendly, and the food was delicious! We enjoyed quiches, broccoli slaw, scones, sandwiches, and all of the wonderful sweets, too! And, of course, the tea was wonderful and plentiful! It is in a great location in the historic district of Camden!
Great placeto eat
Wife and I took lunch there today. It is approx. a 30 foot wide by 80 foot deep locally owned establishment in downtown Camden, located on east side of the street, midway between the King Haigler clock-tower and the intersection of Broad and DeKalb Streets with entrances on Broad Street and a rear entrance facing the small green near Market Street. They have an eclectic collection of items throughout the two sections of the establishment - some items for sale, others not. Regional pre-packaged food stuffs and other state and regional curiosity items were on display - most with a specific "South Carolina" flair. The front seating section is comprised mainly of small square tables and straight-back chair and could easily accommodate large groups. The rear counter/kitchen area seats 10 or so and is where the patron can gain access to the bathrooms (separate male and female facilities), place-and-purchase food/items-for-sale, and find the rear exit. There were also TVs located above arms-reach which, I suspect, are used for sporting events. Customer service is endearing. The staff of four (two cooks, one barista and a kitchen helper) all seems to coalesce pretty well. Genuine concern was shown - and patience - at my naivete regarding the many types of coffees and specialty drink items on the menu boards. Being non-savvy in such things and the graciousness extended to address my deficit spoke volumes to me - highly appreciated. Lighting and ambiance was "warm and inviting". The entire establishment was clean - I couldn't see even dust, nor traces of pollen which were abounding this weekend. Temperature and airflow were surprisingly appropriate and brisk, considering that we sat at the rear counter/kitchen area and would've assumed we'd be subjected to some expected residual heat (didn't happen); and, it happened to be about 80 degrees outside. The din from other conversations from the front seating area and the kitchen operations (inclusive of the very large coffee machine and blender) wasn't oppressive, nor at any levels to impede conversation with my bride of 25 years. We ordered the quiche (spinach) with side salad, one strawberry smoothie and a pimento cheese on (toasted) rye with chips and a mocha frappuccino. Yes, we were hard-pressed to decide what to dine on, given the numerous combinations of items possible. Definitely felt as if we would have to come back many, many times to try all the delicious offerings. Presentation: I especially appreciated the fair-sized portions served on real flatware. The quiche was firm and fresh, the side salad ingredients were fresh, and the strawberry smoothie was the best my bride had tasted. The rye bread on my (homemade) pimento cheese sandwich was toasted perfectly (without drying it out to a space shuttle tile density, thankfully) - definitely coming back for THAT again, chips were Lay's and my mocha frappaccino was multiple levels better than Starchuck's, Punkin' Donuts and QuackDonald's (hat's off to the barrista). Our total bill came to just under $20. They take credit/debit cards and cash. There is a "tip jar" located at the register - although unspoken, there does not appear to be an expectation to tip individual staff persons. I cannot say enough about the customer service - everyone, whether they were directly involved with taking the order and/or bringing the ordered items to us, spoke with genuine interest and actually "engaged" in conversation. We did not feel "rushed"and even were encouraged to take our time. My satisfaction with these four individuals, paired with my overall experience in their establishment compel me to encourage you to visit downtown Camden, experience what we experienced and you will have yourself a new place to commune, consume and consider what you've been missing all the while. We have a new "favorite kitchen".

This place is very good, generally. Definitely welcoming & comortable. Lovely Tea Room without being too stuffy or pretentious. Flavorful food is a given here. Plainly, I really enjoy the atmosphere and free live music--provided on Saturday nights. Will be coming back regularly with the little one.
Had the lunch special, it was delicious! Friendly waitstaff, would definitely visit again!
Absolutely a 5 star rating on food quality, value for money spent, and atmosphere. A rare find in today's world. I was a little intimidated about going in when I saw the entrance. It was very impressive and I wondered if I was dressed well enough. Once I entered I was delighted to find a very attractive atmosphere and decor. The staff was most helpful and friendly. You order your food and they will do the rest. Comfortable tables spaced far enough apart that it allows you privacy and comfort.. Need a meeting place for your local club(garden, red hat and etc.) ? This would be perfect. As a matter of fact I just scheduled our local garden club meeting there for next month. Lunch is under $6.00 with your beverages extra. The desserts looks absolutely fabulous. I will try them next trip. They have handmade crafts there so you can shop will you wait for your food or after eating.. A must try !!!!
