My daughter had a big birthday recently with a Sabrina Carpenter theme. The cake was the final piece to this grand event I’ve been planning since July. My sister drove thirty five minutes to pick up the cake. It looked very last minute and barely an effort had been made. When I reached out to the owner, she was unfortunately extremely defensive. She offered a partial refund if I came by the shop after the new year. Not the point and no thank you. Not worth the money in gas!

I love their cupcakes! The quality is excellent. But, they are not open consistent hours. I drove from Sumter to Camden to purchase cupcakes on 8/15/25 based on posted hours, both physical and online, and they were closed. This has happened before, and I thought it was a one time emergency, but evidently it is not. When you call the phone number the voicemail says it has not been set up yet. How are customers, who are ready and willing to pay supposed to know if you are open when they get there? The baked goods are excellent, but the service sadly leaves much to be desired, quite literally.

FABULOUS Birthday Cake! I would post a photo but crumbs are all it would show. We decided on a last minute family get together & needed a cake. The Mad Batter was able to accommodate and it was wonderful. The cake was moist with a delicious buttercream frosting-sweet but not too sweet. I didn’t expect the beautiful decorating but what a bonus!! I will be calling them again and recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Mad Batter!

After another baker cancelled days before my birthday, The Mad Batter was recommended. Not only were they able to squeeze me in last minute, but the cake was beautiful. The flavor was fantastic. You can tell quality butter was used for the buttercream as well. 10/10 will use them again!
