We have been to this location twice and first time experiencing what food Tacos Nayarit has to offer. Was highly recommended by many people.
The first time, service started out great, but declined towards the end of our time there. We were there when they first opened, and we did not have complicated orders for a party of three (nor did we split the bill).
Second time, waitress was kind. What was the negative was the drink service. I don’t know what is happening at this location but for a place with a beautiful bar, they sure don’t do the best job in getting drinks together and out for service. As a party of four, we all got a drink. What was disappointing was we got the drinks AFTER our food. At which point, I no longer wanted mine. Luckily we were able to stop them from making mine because again they didn’t even had make it.
The food? Amazing. It’s said the service doesn’t match the food they offer and takes away from the experience. Birria tacos??? A must have.

I really wanted to like this place, but after our second visit we will not be returning unless there are management changes. Premium pricing should come with prompt and attentive service.
On our first visit during opening weekend, the restaurant was packed and the line to order moved very slowly. It took nearly an hour to place our order. We gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was opening weekend, and the food and drinks were actually very good.
A couple of months later, we returned for a quick drink before another event. The restaurant was mostly empty, so we expected faster service. Instead, it took about fifteen minutes for our server to check in, and over thirty minutes for the bar to prepare cocktails for our group of six. When the drinks finally arrived, we had to rush to finish them and request the checks, which were mixed up and took extra time to sort out.
This would be more understandable if the place were busy or short-staffed, but several employees were sitting in booths eating or chatting while customers waited.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience felt justified. If you are short on time, I would recommend avoiding this spot. If you have two to three hours to spare for dinner, the food itself is good, but the service does not match the prices.

Food was good. Birria tacos were great. Nice atmosphere. A change of pace from the normal Columbia chain Mexican restaurants.

Not worth the hype! Sadly disappointed tried the managers trio the el pastor was old hard and dry, the chicken on the Gordita was not well seasoned at all the birra taco was trash. The other location is better!

Definitely not as good as the other location. Employees are very forgetful and service is sub par. I keep giving it a chance but think I'm giving up on this location and going back to the original

I recently visited the newly opened Tacos Nayarit with a party of twelve, and while our expectations were high! given how great the food has always been at their other location, the overall experience left us feeling pretty disappointed.
To be fair, the food itself was fantastic, just as flavorful and authentic as ever. Everyone at our table agreed that the dishes lived up to the standard we were used to.
However, the service was a completely different story. When we first arrived, our waitress was warm, friendly, and attentive, so we thought we were off to a good start. But it quickly became obvious that they were short-staffed. It took an unexpectedly long time just to get our drinks, and the food took even longer. At several points, it felt like they’d forgotten about our table entirely.
Even something as simple as getting limes turned into a struggle, they gave us one or two at a time, and we had to repeatedly ask for more, which was frustrating for a group our size.
The final blow was the “hospitality tax” added to the check. After the slow service and multiple mix-ups, being charged extra for “hospitality” felt pretty annoying.
Overall, amazing food but truly disappointing service. I hope they work out their staffing issues soon, because the kitchen is definitely doing its part.

I would not recommend this restaurant for traditional Mexican food. The margaritas are mostly mix.

The staff, although, super busy was very friendly and accommodating. The bartender had a positive attitude even though she was clearly working her butt off.
And the food was definitely delicious. This is a new favorite lunch spot.
