“We tried this spot for the first time today, since we’re new to the area. My son is allergic to food coloring, and the owner was super nice and helpful and willing to show me ingredients w no issue. Great customer service, and the place was really nice inside. My son loved the cookie dough, and i loved the Cookie Two Step— which is cookies and cream mixed w cookie dough. Never heard of it- so good! Great prices! $2.99 for a small scoop— that was a decent size! Many places charge way more. Bathroom was clean. Street parking in front for a Saturday afternoon. We'll be back!”
“We had the best experience with the team at The Mexican. They went above and beyond to make our bridal shower a huge success! And the food was absolutely delicious!”
“This tiny restaurant is easy to miss, but it's really fantastic. The menu is simple but offers a wide variety of protein choices, and there's enough to visit a few times without ordering the same thing. It's super authentic, and the food was really great. A perfect example of how hole-in-the-wall restaurants are often the best.”
“This review is for a visit on a Friday night for dinner. Large crowd but the wait time was only 10 minutes.Wow, this place is amazing! Very clean, beautifully decorated, great service, fresh ingredients, and delicious food. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be going back! Highly recommend this restaurant.”
“I have been eating here for years, and the excellent food and service stays consistent. The mussamun curry is out of this world fantastic. Best Thai food I’ve had. Definitely the best place in the area for eating. Great prices and portions.Kid-friendliness: My kids love it here”
“This place has turned around!! The food is fantastic, fresh made daily! So much flavor and our service was amazing. Katia made us feel like family. All the staff were great! I had the Molecajete and it was superb. My wife had a veggie taco with rice and beans. The chip and salsa makes Ponchos looks very sad. This place is more of a bar vibe but Katia made my lil girl feel very special. Don’t miss out on the grand re-opening.The desserts were good as well I had the smores churros and they were amazing. Everything we got was super shareable so this place is definitely affordable!Vegetarian options: Fresh veggies”
“Delicious hot dog with great southern style chili like mama used to make! Love the coleslaw on top of it as well. I got the Depot Dog with Monk’s chili and a side of potato salad that was also excellent. Nice, friendly service. Price is right, too.”
“We have eaten here several times and they haven't let us down. A good, quick go to place for a great meal. Love the make your own salad bar and chicken, bacon, ranch pizza was great.”
“An absolute gem of a place. This is my friend groups go to restaurant for if we need something to eat while working/studying. I have tried so much of their food and I am yet to be disapointed.”
“one of the best coffee I have had I live close so I can walk supper nice peaple it is a little expensive but it is worth it. love the owner so much they are the ”
“Very good place, from my experience it was nice and quiet. Great food, salsa tasted very unique compared to every other mexican restaurant i've ever been to. Definitely worth a try.”
“The food is great, the quality of everything has only gone up since they opened. I enjoy sitting on the porch when the weather is nice. The staff is always very kind and welcoming.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an ADA-accessible ramp to the porch”
“Great cheese, bread! Delicious marinara sauce with it. And garlic Parmesan boneless wings were awesome! That flavor was not even on the menu, but they made them for me. This is a wonderful small business, where the owners are involved, and they make sure the quality is there! check them out! Support our small businesses.Kid-friendliness: Nice and big, with room for kids. Great restrooms. Bring the whole family!Parking: Free parking in a big lot right outside the front door, with wheelchair access.”
“My family and I stopped here after my son's track meet at SWU. I was happy to meet a traveling man and super nice owner. The food was awesome, I tried the chicken and steak rice combo bowl and my wife and son had burgers. The cheese sticks were so good we had to order a second round. We will definitely be back next time we get up that way from Lexington, SC. You got to give them a try! Good people and great food!”
“Don't let the tiny building fool you guys. My hubby and I came up on this place on accident but we were so dang glad we had. I ordered Lasagna which I don't normally eat unless it's homemade and my husband got 3 cheese stuffed Manicotti. Each came w Garlic Bread & a house salad that I must say were both awesome additions to our meals. My husband and I weren't 100%sure which entree was which which so we just dug in and started eating. They were both”
“Im so sorry it took me a bit to put up here but my husband & I had went here Thursday evening. Ordered my food. Got home and took about 2-3 bites out of my cheeseburger and I looked down and saw my burger pink. I used to work here and while back. I was a little disappointed that this happened. I never, hardly ever, leave a 1 star or bad review. But I'm just giving all of yall a heads up.”
“Quick service, sometimes the order is wrong but they try their best to make it right. I eat here just about every Friday and overall it’s a good place to eat hibachi.”

“Cassidy is an entire Sandwich Artist rockstar! This location is our favorite around because of her bubbly personality, calm demeanor, gentle and genuine leadership/teamwork, and attention to detail. You guys have a gem of an employee in her and we as consumers are sure grateful for how enjoyable she strives (and succeeds) to make our Subway experiences.Thank you, Cassidy, for who you are and all you do! We see you!”
“Smoked chicken was perfection with the OG and Natty sauces. Apple pie pit beans are a whimsical take on baked beans that hit the spot. Very nice young man eager to serve and professional. Check out his food truck !”
“The food here was amazing. The sushi burrito was devoured by myself and my wife. My son slurped down the ramen (noodle soup he calls it). Everything was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend!”
“My wife and I visited for lunch.FIRST IMPRESSIONS: They have done a wonderful job setting a vibe with the decor. It would have been easy to make this place look cheap and uninspiring, however, the owners have done just enough to make it look effortlessly hip and classy. Great job!THE FOOD: My wife had the RUBYcon (corned beef brisket on rye). She was leery ordering it, being our first visit here and all; corned beef can be done wrong. She was very impressed at the taste. Corned beef is made or missed by what you accent it with. Ruffage's choice of S&S pineapple, cabbage, swiss, aioli, honey basil dijon on rye, was a perfect combination!I had the Tony Burger Bowl mainly because of the photo on their website; it looked like a fun, complex mess! I have to admit that for my burgers, I tend to be very traditional (meat, cheese, dressing, tomato), but I figured that I would either love this place or this would be our last visit here. I.e. let's jump in with both feet!Well! This was the most complex and wonderful burger I have ever had the pleasure of eating! It was perfectly cooked. The flavors of the chili were bold, the beef was perfectly seasoned, the bun was absolutely perfect as well.THE STAFF: Just as we have come to expect since moving here from California, the staff were so sweet, accommodating and efficient. The restaurant was definitely set up by a gourmet chef because our meals were nothing less than what I would expect at a true gourmet cafe.SUMMARY: We are so fortunate that we found the beautiful quaint town of Pendleton to make our forever home in. There are many little gems that we have discovered here. Ruffage Cafe is the newest member of that list.If you are local, it would be a shame to say that you've never been, and if you are passing the general area it is worth making a trip out of the way to visit. As for my wife and I: We will be visiting many many times over by ourselves and with friends. I am looking forward to trying the Carolina Cuban next!”
“This is my absolute favorite BBQ place! The food and service are always great! We stopped for dinner after the Clemson spring game. The wait was very short and the beer was good. There were a couple of issues with our food. Our order somehow got lost between the computer and the kitchen but it was fixed immediately. Then there were a couple of issues with things in our sides and in our sons hotdog but the manager went above and beyond to make it right. It was far from the typical experience with the food issues but the waitress and manager made everything right and really took care of our family! We will absolutely be back!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of corn hole boards and putt-putt for the kids”
“Great coffee and friendly staff. My husband and I live in Seneca but we try to treat ourselves when possible. Even though we are not able to stop by regularly, the staff still recalls our usual coffee!”
“We came by here for a tour of clemson. It was a bit chilly but I can see with the water views, this is such a terrific place to come eat. On to the food - you can order personal.pizzas 7 and 10" (larger too- I just like the 7" option), choice of white or wheat, then create your own. It's thin dough, but i really liked the pizza. It was surprisingly good. Not too heavy or paper things, tateless - service was fast. This place gets packing! We got there at 1130, garage retail parking so easy. When we left, there were no spots and the restaurant was decently full.”
“This is a cute coffee shop and a great place to get work done. While it has pretty solid coffee and a comfortable space, the thing I love is the food. There are several food items here that are incredible! Me and my friends call the cinnamon rolls ‘life changing’ and we aren’t joking. They have this wonderful caramel sauce on them which goes nicely with the flavor. The savory scones are great as well!”
“The bird box Stromboli is off the chain! I am very picky & honestly don’t like many people’s Stromboli but they nailed it. Had pizza too which was good but that Stromboli I will definitely be back for.”
“Best pizza in the upstate SC area(haven’t been here that long to try everything). Staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful with the choice. Margherita pizza is as good of a pie as I’ve had south of the Mason Dixon line”
“Excellent BBQ pulled pork and brisket! Their vinegar based slaw was AMAZING! Also had the 'pig pickin cake'! Excellent! Service was second to none and this was an all-around great dining experience! Came across this place by accident, as several other reviewers had said!”
“A nice little place that has the best Thai food near Clemson. The hostess/waitress/owner is a very nice and friendly woman, and the food is always great. I had the W2 plate, and it was the perfect way to warm up on a cold, rainy ”
