The peel and eat shrimp was fantastic, so was the black and bleu fish sandwich with potato salad. Great service and we definitely will be back. If you are in the area you need to visit. Try a dirty banana!

Regularly stop at Rusty Anchor in the summer. What’s not to love… fried food, cold drinks, local musicians. Always great fun! Be prepared to enjoy the view things move a little slower in these parts?

My boyfriend and I are new to the area and were browsing for places to eat when we found the Rusty Anchor Restaurant. It appeared to have an amazing atmosphere and the menu looked quite promising. It was a beautiful night and the attached bar had live music playing, so we choose to sit outside on the deck. We were correct about the atmosphere. The decor and ambiance were magical. There were children giggling in the yard and doing cart-wheels. It was rather sweet to see. We were sat and were enjoying ourselves while waiting for our server to greet us. The enjoyment turned into annoyance as the wait kept getting longer and longer. There may have been 5 other tables in the restaurant. It took our server approx. 15 mins to greet us. She seemed so flustered and overwhelmed that my b/f even asked her if she was new. - She was not. We ordered a water, a sweet tea and some hushpuppies. It took another 10-15 mins. before out drinks were dropped off. My water tasted like a fish fin had been floating in it and was undrinkable. When the server finally came back for our order, I ordered Johnny's Chicken, which was decent but not impressive. My b/f ordered the Salmon. It was severely over cooked and had no flavor. Overall, we were not impressed at all. There was so much potential. We will not be back.

Went here on my keto diet and the salad I got didn't do it for me personally but everyone else's food had me drooling, I should have gotten the steak.Kid-friendliness: We had a kid with us, if you go to Rusty anchor kids are fine, but not as kid friendly at catfish next door.Parking: Massive marina parking should be able to find a spotWheelchair accessibility: Has a wheelchair ramp

I took my mother to the Rusty Anchor on a weekend and was pleasantly surprised that the main restaurant was not packed during lunch hour as all the boaters were outside at Captain Johnny's. The service was quick efficient and our waitress was very nice answering all of our questions and guiding us through the menu. My mother got the fish sandwich which had about five pieces of fish so I enjoyed two of them and they use a nice light batter and it wasn't greasy. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and it was so big I had to take half of it home as did my mother with her fish sandwich. We each had a side of potato salad that they make there and were pleasantly happy with it and everything else. Great Waterfront Restaurant on Lake Murray and we will definitely be going back !!?

Really good. Server was new, but sweet and did everything she could to accommodate us.

Yummy burgers. Only problem is they stop serving what I would consider early for a Saturday night. 9 pm.

Beautiful lake views, delicious food, and great live music on a Saturday night! My parents were in town visiting and we all had a lovely time.

IWe went to Rusty Anchor today for lunch and was seated for 20 minutes. No one every came to the table. Never even acknowledged us seating down after talking to the manager. I know they have good food but the service needs attention.

Very obvious that their staff dose NOT clean anything, the outside women's restrooms had blood on the floor, bloody used tampons that were scattered all over the place.. their staff took no effort when the situation was brought up.. very nasty place would not recommend

Went there with the wife. The food and scene overall was great. She had the flounder, it was a little bland, but it was still cooked really well. The vibe was nice! The brownie sundae was a nice finisher! Got to enjoy a Friday afternoon with some food and live music. Definitely plan to visit again in the future.

One of the best local scenery restaurants in the Columbia metro area. It is a *bit* of a drive, but the views are amazing, the food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly. Plus the bar staff know how to make some really good drinks. They have soooo many different types of summertime drinks too like piña coladas and daiquiris. They’re so refreshing!!!! Not what you’re expecting when you eat on the lake, but I think it’s one of the best spots in Cola.
