Love coming here for drinks, some little breakfast items/pastries, and a pleasant atmosphere you could absolutely read a good book in. Literally, they have their own selection of books you can read all over the shop. We always come here when we're in town and have slightly changed our travel path for a vacation just to visit this time. Love it here!

I was grabbing lunch at Groucho’s today with my two kids (aged 2 and 4) when I mistakenly locked my keys in my car! I decided The Coffee Shop might be our best option to hang out in while waiting an hour for someone to come help us out. as anyone with little kids knows, spending an excessive amount of time in any respectable establishment with two energetic and emotionally labile little kids (and during nap time!) can be pretty iffy. The staff at The Coffee Shelf was soooo kind and sympathetic and welcoming. They had crayons/paper, chess…enough to entertain my kids for a bit. Also, the hot chocolate is delicious. I much appreciate them being so welcoming to a stressed out mom and two little kids.

Excellent small town coffee shop. Anytime I'm working on the ambulance we always swing in to grab some coffee.
It's okay. I know it's very popular with other people in Chapin, including my son and his family, and we can appreciate that. My wife and I have stopped by a few times to meet the owner, but she seems to never be there when we are .. It's our understanding that she is fluent in French, and we are nearly as fluent in French as well. ?

What a great find. I enjoyed a small chai tea latte hot, chocolate chip cookie and blueberry muffin. As a local other it was nice to see that this location supports local authors with book signings as well as a different place to purchase great books.
