Steak was not worth $28. Came out well done and not medium rare. But the steak was thin. Definitely not a Texas Road house steak.

It was a slow night on a Thursday but service was quick and our waitress was very pleasant. We got the specials of the night- fried chicken and chicken and dumplings . Both were delicious and the portions were more than we could eat. Had enough leftovers for another whole meal. The food tasted just like Mom used to make. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic! We hoped for the buffet, but times have changed, but the scallops, and prime rib, were delicious. Wonderful service. Highly recommend.

The problem with a restaurant in a small town where your competitors are McDonalds and Hardy’s is that you can lower the quality in order to keep your prices low. Locals may have no trouble with this approach but it doesn’t support decent meals. The prime rib that they brag on looked suspiciously microwaved. The salad bar complete with sneeze guard is unimaginative and smacks of the 1950’s. The dressings are poured out of large commercial jars into metal trays and have enough chemicals for a shelf life of 20 years. The onion rings are over breaded and flavorless save for the greasy aftertaste. ( and this is when vidalias were in season and cheap). The martinis weren’t icy and used inferior brand gin. My companion ordered a beer which was served sans glass. We were surprised it didn’t come with a koozi! My advice is to drive an extra 30 miles and eat in Hartsville ( Sam Kendall’s will cheer you up and settle your stomach). The owner means well but sometimes that’s no enough.

The food was great! The menu had a variety to choose from and the sweet potato souffle was amazing. Nice service and awesome cocktails.
