Met my cousin and his family here on their recommendation. Thought we had missed it. Just kept driving and seeing very few cars. Then we arrived and there were all the cars!
There appear to be two parts of Strawberry Hill. One a fresh market with local fruits and veggies on south side of road. The other a homestyle restaurant with traditional choices and an ice cream parlor with delicious ice creams.
The six of us were seated right away and brought menus. We ordered two single hot dog plates with chili & coleslaw & tots, one grilled chicken salad, two hamburger steak plates with corn & green beans, and a pulled pork sandwich made with vinegar (East Carolina) sauce & coleslaw & onion rings.
Our food came quickly and was enjoyed by all. My 94 year old aunt cleaned her plate! I really enjoyed my BBQ - just the way I remember it! There was some discussion about their famous peach cobbler, but our party split. The four girls piled in one car and headed for casino nearby. My cousin and I went to his house to watch old Cowboy movies.
Later we met back up to head to home or hotel. My wife was deliberately slow. After everyone had left, she said “Let’s go try the peach cobbler!” We did, warmed up and with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. It was sooo wonderful! I had to fight for a couple bites!!
Great food and ice cream, great service, homey feel. There are probably a dozen or more rocking chairs under the covered front, probably to accommodate people waiting on a date night table.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap access with several spots near entrance. No steps. Both regular and handicap bathrooms for each gender.

I have been a few times for breakfast now and would say the experience has been decent. Breakfast rush typically gets there around 9:30.
The food is not really that good. I would stick to a gravy biscuit or pancake. They have the best flavor of anything on the menu although I wish the gravy was a sausage gravy instead of plain peppered gravy. Biscuits are pretty spot on as far as texture and doneness. They fall apart a little too much for a butter biscuit, but they are never dried out or burnt. Omelettes are a no go- fried eggs folded around the fillings; not mixed in the eggs before cooking. The sausage bits were crispy and dry. Hash browns have no crispy crust to them, just a greasy and soft pile. One plus is they never skimp on portions no matter what you get.
Service is a toss up in the morning. I've have great service and also have had not good service.
Atmosphere is the best. It's bright, inviting and casual. There's plenty of space and a nice view from the tables. That's probably what keeps me coming back more than anything. You can also walk across the street to the peach shed anytime.

One of our favorite places to grab breakfast on Saturdays. Strawberry pancakes in the spring, peach in the summer and apple in the fall. We came back tonight for ice cream and pleased to see their special is peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream.
On the way to Lake Keowee, my date and I had lunch at the Strawberry Hill Cafe. This place is very charming and has been around for a long time. For lunch, we split the BLT and Pimento Cheese sandwiches. We had both the fries and tots for our sides. The service here is fantastic, and they are always refilling your drink. If you are ever in Chesnee, SC, you must eat at the Strawberry Hill Cafe. They also have homemade ice cream, too.

Sad. I hate writing bad reviews and luckily I do not have to often. We have eaten at this restaurant so many times but it was always lunch and we always got great food. We decided to try breakfast. All four meals were subpar. Hash browns uncooked. Pancakes dry and doughy. Omelette lacked flavor. Service and prices were great. We just have to believe the cook had a bad morning.

1st and last time. Our waitress seemed annoyed with every question we had. My wife ordered a salad and asked for no cheese and no bacon..the waitress said why don't you tell me what you want on the salad, which she did. Well it came with cheese and bacon! I ordered a burger it was over dine and the meat was cold. She never once came by our table and asked if everything was OK or if we needed something. Needless to say I left $0 tip.
