Tenango's Mexican Restaurant

Tenango's is probably the best Mexican restaurant in the Chesnee/Gaffney region. Food is consistent. The service is consistently good and we go there every week without fail.

The bean dip is so good! Everything was fresh, looked great and tasted even better. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I actually didn't get to eat .. it was a super slow time only 1 table in the restaurant. It was my birthday and I was trying to use my American express gift checks that are basically a travelers check and accepted anywhere that takes American express. The owner treated me like I was some criminal or something trying to pass fake money or whatever. I begged him to call American express, my bank whatever he just kept speaking in Spanish to the hostess saying no when and saying in Spanish they are fake . I speak Spanish and he was speaking fluent English when he approached me ... This is a small town and this is why he has 1 table in the dinner rush .he will never get my business and I plan to call American express and have them give him a refresher course . Just because you haven't seen one of these doesn't mean they are fake . Educate your staff and yourself.

Ordered a plain shredded chicken with beans nachos and what i got looks like someone's left overs no beans as well on it this is the worst time but sometimes they are good so it's half and half normally if its good or not so I give it a 2.5 sadly but there service is always good as far as I can tell so it boost up to a 3

Love going for lunch. Fajita burrito is my favorite. Plus everything else on menu is definitely delicious 😋

Imagine my surprise as I’m sitting here trying to enjoy my burrito and a bug (a large bug) crawls from the depths of hell on the wall. Also imagine my surprise as the waiter myself and my husband are both staring at this bug on the wall. EVEN more surprised when the waiter comes back with a thumbs up asking if we’re good lmao. Even more flabbergasted that we still had to pay. I guess the show was for free.

Looks brand new inside, not sure if it was renovated recently. The food was authentic and fantastic. I really enjoyed it.

Major thank you to the nice young man that made sure I got my food after the girl up front hadn't put my call-in order through after twenty+ minutes. I wouldn't leave a review if it hadn't been for her less-than-polite behavior on the phone and her lack of effort to correct her mistake. The guy that fixed my order handled it all and was sure to get my food right since it had to be rushed. Hopefully, she was just new, but the whole thing was pretty disappointing. Only one person was helpful, and I felt unwelcome in the restaurant overall... I definitely feel like I should have cooked tonight, even if the food tasted great.

The food there was amazing i’m not too keen on eating steak but those steak tacos were amazing!!! Atmosphere is nice and calm not too loud smells amazing in there def gonna go back. Money:Food portion is great!

I've not been disappointed here.

Food was really surprisingly delicious, exceeds the other Mexican restaurants in the area by far. Great service and really friendly staff. I have never been impressed with the rice at most places, theirs was really good and flavorful. Pork tamales and sauce were also amazing. We also got flautas and chimichanga. Everything was great!
