I love the dining section near the bar with the wood that looks rustic!!!! But the other areas are really bland & not cute at all like you would expect from a cozy barbecue joint. The servers have always been super friendly! My partner and I eat a lot of barbecue and seek it out on all of our travels. We both have different tastes when it comes to barbecue and we both have had the chicken and pulled pork here so for what it’s worth, neither one of us have ever been impressed....
Overall it was ok. We ordered the catfish with fries. Most of the catfish was over fried making the batter to be very hard and crunchy (hard on the teeth). The fries were under done(mushy inside). The waitress wasn't paying attention and we often had to wait for her to finally show up for her 2 tables. Dessert was very good.
The BEST smoked chicken plate we have ever experienced! The meat fell off the bone - and you almost didn't need BBQ sauce - it was SO tasty! ( the sauce was delicious, too)
This is a must visit if you have ever felt disappointed in local SC BBQ!
