Food was good, but not as good as the price indicated it would be. For two people $96.00 was a little much for what we had.

Stopped in for lunch. Only ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks ($9 appetizer). They are frozen from US Foods and I was hoping for authentic fresh cut mozzarella battered and fried. However they were delicious mainly bc of the marinara sauce. I had to get more of that to finish them off. Sooo good.
You are supposed to make reservations for both lunch and supper but they weren't busy and allowed me and another table to dine without reservations.

The reservations make sense since it's just Vinny back there throwing down for your food. However, everything else was odd to me. Having a dress code and reservations, but the wait staff wearing leggings and tshirts didn't make much sense to me. It felt like it was done just to increase the menu price. The appetizer was amazing, but the Carbonara was not what I expected. Its my favorite Italian dish and I've had it from a variety of restaurants all over the country (never been to Italy, but Bostons North End was pretty close lol). What I had at Vinnys was more noodles with scrambled eggs and very little cream sauce. I understand everyone has different family recipes. So many that's the issue - but it was disappointing. My partner got the veal - it was good and his mom got chicken Parmesan which was also very flavorful but the chicken was very tough so she had difficulty with it. We'll probably give it one more shot before marking it off the list - so I'll update this review once that's done.

There are so many good things to say I do not know where to begin...

Our friends have been telling us for quite a while that we need to come to Vinny's. We are so grateful to them for bringing us tonight.

From the moment you walk in the door you feel and smell the love in the food and the service. My husband felt like he just walked into his grandmother's kitchen.

We had the calamari appetizer... excellent. My husband had the Eggplant & Chicken Parmesan... outstanding. Three of us had Pasta Florentina...excellent. The desserts were also outstandingly excellent... Italian Creme Cake, Lemon Creme Cake and Bananas Foster.
Everything was just WOW!!!!

Thank you Vinny for the love you put into your food. May God continue to bless you with your gift of excellent cooking.

Food was decent - but for $30+ per person there wasn’t much of it. Seemed like the regulars got more for their $$. It was the doomsday books for sale @ checkout that really turned us off. It was not a good look!

We had chicken and eggplant dish, meatballs, expresso ice cream, and Italian Cake. Meatballs were fabulous. Sauce good! I’m a picky Italian and it tasted like my grandmas.
It is limited dining since only one chef. It does take a little longer for your food and since little guests at a time, the quiet was a little uncomfortable at times. That’s just me? Lovely inside and everyone was very nice.
Of course, we will return. I have many other things to try.

Wonderful place! Just takes you back in time! The calm and relaxing evening takes you back when things weren't so rushed and you just got to sit and relax and have a nice meal. Vinny makes you feel welcomed and entertained. My husband and I love coming here often. Thank you Vinny for always making the evening so pleasant.

This place is amazing! I can not give this place enough stars. 100 out of 5!!! I called them to send food to a family during a time of bereavement. I live out of state so I was completely trusting them to help me out. To my surprise, Vinnie and his family went over and beyond. Vinny treated me like I was his family. I wanted to just hug the entire staff! The family who received the food were so appreciative and enjoyed it so much. They told me that Vinny’s is the best around, and that I chose well. They had no idea how kind and helpful Vinny was on top of providing delicious food! Please support this wonderful restaurant if you are in the sweet town of Chester! Thank you again Vinny!!

Incredible food... Vinny is an incredible host!

Ordered a standard pepperoni pizza... flavor is pretty good but the crust is extremely doughy.

Absolutely fantastic place great food, staff, and service. I take my girlfriend and we always rant over the beautiful atmosphere and incredible food. I don’t have a bad word to say about Vinny’s and if you’re ever in Chester this is the place to go.
