Our family stopped by to grab lunch and not only were we not welcomed, all of the staff sat at the bar on their phones. No “hello”, no “welcome”, no “nothing.” Eventually one of them looked up, and told us to “Y’all can sit any where.” The other one slowly grabbed menus with a look of dread on her face. It was clear that we were not welcomed. So instead of sitting, we decided to match the energy that we were given, and left. It’s clear that Black people are not welcome, so we took our green dollars $$ somewhere else.

The food is very good with big portions. I particularly like the Philly cheese steak. Beer and drinks are reasonably priced. Service is great, I sit at the bar if I'm by myself, but never had a problem getting a table.

Kicked me out and let people under age into the bar. The bouncers have power trips and should be fired! Kicked me out because I spit and cleaned the floor allowed UNDERAGE people to drink lucky I don’t call the cops!

Whoever the bigger guy with glasses is that works the door and announces food is one of the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in the food and bev industry. I would understand if it was busy, but it is a SLOW Tuesday night and on top of that it’s my birthday. I work food and bev and there’s no excuse for acting like we just put you out for requesting the dressing that WE ASKED FOR? Maybe it was a bad day for him but dang.

Used to be my absolute favorite bar DT, and went downstairs semi frequently. Last night the bouncer Nick was extremely rude and told me he wasn't letting me in (I'm 23) even when the other bouncers said I was fine. Never experienced this before and extremely put off to going back. He needs an attitude check at the least.

Jauhar, the person checking ID’s at the front on Wednesday night, is the rudest individual who I have ever come into contact with. Denied my husband and I to come in tonight for absolutely no reason. He has always been incredibly disrespectful to us and our friends making up lies that we leave a mess at our table when in fact, we do not. We made a comment about his rude behavior tonight and he kicked us out. Really unfortunate because we are all Wednesday night regulars. This is the last time I will be at backstreets ever again.
