May 27, 2025. The last three times we have been in, we say never again. Bread half baked, salad with shrimp so salty couldn’t eat it, smash burger with stone cold fries. Blue Heron is off our list. If you want good food, don’t go!

Customer for several years. Great in the beginning, steady decline. My husband and I say after each visit we won’t go again. Food is subpar . Wasn’t crowded at all, maybe 6 tables. Food wasn’t hot and because crowd was light, service was overbearing. I hope the restaurant will improve as it’s in a prime location and atmosphere is good. However, if you’re looking for good food, Blue Heron is not for you.

Previous Server From the top down not well oil’d machine. 0/10.
Horrible experience. Took 2 1/2 hours for food. Ran out of chicken. Substituted shrimp for meatballs without asking. Manager told us we weren't being "sweet" about subpar service. Excuse was they were overbooked. We made reservation 6 weeks in advance. Do not recommend.
Food came 2 hours late. I got shrimp instead of meatballs and am allergic to shrimp. The manager told me “I was not being sweet about it”. DO NOT COME under any circumstances.

Just ate here. SOLD under new Management with many issues. Asked for the bathroom trash to be emptied because paper towels were all over the floor. Wait staff didn’t know the only coffee machine in the place is broken not to be replaced for weeks. Kayla would not stop playing with her ponytail with her right hand when talking to customers and it looks horrible. We ate here in the past and it WAS great, but no more. Avoid at all costs.
Booked this for an anniversary dinner. Had the duck and tuna. Tuna was good. Duck was horrible. Skin was not crispy at all and so chewy could not swallow. We were put at a 2 top and we were so close to the couples beside us we were practically touching elbows. Very cramped and not enjoyable. Will not return.

Disappointing experience. This was our first time and had reservations.
We sat down after about 5 minutes, which was prompt.
It went down hill quickly. I had to ask for a refill for my daughter’s sweet tea twice.
After being there 1 hour and 35 minutes I asked them to cancel my daughter and my steak entree.
5 minutes later the manager came with our steaks.
I kindly let her know that the nice young ladies next to us arrived after us and received their appetizer and entree and already had their leftovers boxed.
I let her know I wasn’t going to take or pay for our steaks after waiting an hour & 40 minutes at that point.
Worse experience my daughter and I have had at a restaurant.
Not planning on returning.

The food, bartender, atmosphere, wonderful. This only gets 3 stars due to the unprofessional presence of the "new owner". He was cold and unkind. Not a good look when you just bought the place.

I made reservations for 9 people celebrating my daughter’s birthday. I’ve made reservations before at The Blue Heron and have always sat in the formal dining area. This past Friday at 6:30pm we got to sit in the bar area at the table next to the restaurant’s entry/exit door. It was 34 degrees outside. Patrons were coming in and out as they should because it was a busy Friday night. We also had to ask for the ceiling fan over our table to be turned off. It wasn’t on when we were seated. Someone turned it on after a drunk at the bar complained about how hot it was in there. The service was horrible. We tried to be gracious to our server because she was busy. Obviously busy! But, when you walk past our table over and over again a see that we have no drinks and never offer to refill them while we wait in the freezing cold for an hour and a half for our food maybe offering a refill would be helpful?? We did however get bread after we had to ask for it and 2 balls of raw dough with a side of frozen butter were brought to our table. A very apologetic waitress brought us cooked bread out and stated that the manager was going to stop by our table to “check on things.” What’s up with this manager??? I’ve seen him multiple times in the past visits and he always looks extremely busy walking around very fast with his head down. Well, he never made it to our table. The food was good. It usually is. But the service!! Come on Blue Heron!!!! Y’all can do better than that! Tip: close the table by the entry door on cold nights. Don’t let your patrons sit there. And, when someone complains about that particular table not being used, explain it to them that in the winter months it is too cold for your customers to sit there! Our experience would have been totally different had we been put in the area we expected to be in - the reservation area.

If I had known they automatically add tip to bill I would have never walked in! The bread they bring you when u sit down was 12 minutes from being ready to serve. Dough was 1/2 done. Server was lax. Ran out of diet coke and water. Entered in at 6:30. Food ordered 2 minutes after sitting down. Received our meal at 7:34. Fan over our table came on right before the food arrived. 28° outside. They say us right next to front door. Door opened every 90 seconds. All on all it was a terrible dinner. Food was a 2 or 2.5 at best. When I asked for more bread for what we got was not done, she apologized and got us more . As she delivered the bread she once again apologized and said my manager will be over to see y'all. Manager never came. Way to pricey for mediocre food.
Blue Heron is the best place to go for diarrhea and sandy seafood that sticks in your teeth after 3000 teeth brushings and the service is always wrong.
The food excellent service was excellent highly recommend going to this restaurant
too pricey. 18%tip added to bill. that's only way the servers can get a tip. food was less than okay. service was same way. you've been warned.
