Clemson Area Transit Department

I am a senior adult , on 3/13/2025 I was riding the bus from CU to downtown at 6:10 pm . The bus that I was on, BUS 1807, the AA lady Terra/Terry who was driving the bus was extremely very rude, I sat on the front seat because I am a senior and I have issues with my leg. When I was ready to leave the bus at the stop the Catbus driver didn’t allow me to use the front door for an unknown reason, even though I next to her, she send me to back of the bus in a very rude way. Also during the time that I was riding the bus she was on the phone doing a personal call, which distracted her from driving and could have caused an accident. The front seats are designated for seniors and handicapped persons, and what she did to me is unacceptable. I will follow up with a formal complaint to Catbus.

the red route drivers dont stop at all. multiple times ive been standing at a numbered stop on the map and they drive right past me. whats the point of having busses if they don't let anyone on? put up signs like anderson does so there's no debate about where the stops are.

The schedule is not accurate, always they leave early or came very late causing students not arriving to school on time. Also some drivers don’t stop at the required bus stops.

I live on Old Central Rd. and have almost gotten hit by these reckless CAT bus drivers on two separate instances in the past month. The buses would drive past the speed limit down the road, get in and out of Lindsey Rd. without even looking to see if there is incoming traffic.

Further down Old Central Rd. towards the bridge there is a cross section where bus drivers run past the stop signs.

The bus drivers on this route drive as if they own the road. Apart from the two instances mentioned, I have seen 4 car accidents almost occur with CAT buses being the cause within the past two months. This is getting ridiculous.

The bus system has been awful this year. Previously I had no issues but now they are always late and always full. They need to send more busses or stay on track of the times they say. Incredibly frustrating. I had such a good experience last year.

Horrible! There is only one bus that works the entire Seneca area stopping every two hours at places on the residential and business routes. Everyday you see "workers" traveling around in a Catbus truck driving around the county pretending to fix chargers. I don't think the bus system is reliable any longer. The Catbus system needs to go back to using fuel-powered buses. Electric buses are not dependable.

It has happened multiple times at college of business that bus stops far ahead from stop rather than being on stop and we have to wait for long interval for another bus to be there.

Very poor phone operators. I called three times to ask whether a red route bus coming from central to Clemson. Out of three calls, two times answered and cut the call. In the only call they answered, an operator said it's coming soon. I waited for more than 30 minutes to see no bus coming
