Another enjoyable evening and dinner and our waiter Dixon was great. It was my birthday so the mega sparkler with our dessert was great!!! We have enjoyed Rick Erwin's in Spartanburg too, they never disappoint!
Grace was our server and she is a total pro....I'll ask for her tables in the future. Although most of our food was excellent my wife's filet was overcooked..badly. This order was replaced immediately during the management rounds...it was much appreciated. We love this place and highly recommend.
Had a lovely dinner. The restaurant was beautiful and the waiter was sweet and attentive. I had the crab cakes and they were very good. The tiramisu was delicious and generous portion. The wine suggestion was spot on.
Our steaks were cooked improperly. My wife's filet was over cooked, and my steak was under cooked. The wines selection by the bottle was limited and they completely overpriced. The markup was more than twice retail pricing.
This is our 'go-to' restaurant in the Clemson/Seneca area. Service is professional, food presentation and flavors are consistently top notch, value for the quality of the food is best for this region. Bar service is excellent, and wine list is comprehensive. Eric, the on-site manager, runs an excellent restaurant and the consistency of the experience is very much appreciated.
Our table was in the back room, in the back corner, squeezed under a television. A crackling fire video played the entire meal. The steak was dry. The food was late. The server was pleasant and did her job. She was not responsible for the poor seating, food quality or terrible ambience. For a Christmas Eve meal, I was very disappointed.
to ensure that my food restrictions were respected, I spent almost a half hour on the phone. During that time the person I've talked to went back to the kitchen three times to check with the chef. I went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve feeling very confident that I was going to be taken care of. My food arrived, and I was very very disappointed and very, very hungry. The salad that we agreed on was inedible because it had so many raw white onions in it. I suggested a salad dressing instead I got some lemon slices . For my main meal, I had suggested a sweet potato casserole and told exactly how to prepare it. I got a sweet potato with nothing . The rest of my meal was basically not edible. The rest of our party said their food was pretty average. The bill was quite expensive and no one was quite as happy as they hoped to be. Will not be returning.
Wonderful as ever! The Christmas Eve dinner was cooked to perfection. Thank you Henry for your outstanding service. :)
The food and service were great. Management continues to show that they care about the patrons by visiting tables. Thanks...
Not perfect, but pretty darn good. This isn't a value restaurant, so three stars, but the service is good.

The decor is very nice and our server's assistance, Sophie was wonderful. Very attentive. Our Waiter on the other hand left a lot to be desired. When asking about wine, he said, " I am only 20 so I don't really know about wine?" When I asked him how the roasted mushrooms were prepared, he said, "I don't really like mushrooms." My wife asked him how a certain dish was prepared and he said he would check with the kitchen and when he finally came back to our table, he had forgotten to inquire. When our bill came, there was a charge for a different wine than what my wife had ordered, when I questioned him about the wine, he said, we had to substitute a different wine than the one you ordered. All in all, not very happy with our experience on this trip. This is not the first time we have dined at this Rick Erwin's, but I can assure you, we will not be going back to this location.
My meal arrived cold, the other guests in our group had piping hot plates. I sent it back and it was still cool, barely warm, but I really didn't want to complain again. I had the land & sea, my steak was cooked perfectly so I didn't want to send it back again for the fear it would get over cooked. The crab cake was smothered in a orange colored sauce that overwhelmed the crab. Even cool, I would have devoured the crab meat but it tasted awful in the sauce. The manager was very sweet and they took it off the bill. I have ordered the crab cake many times and this was the first time I have had it covered in something. As a Marylander, please just let the crab do the 'talking' in a crab cake. It has always been so great at this restaurant. Again, the staff was on top of it and very accommodating and wanted to make sure I had a great experience. We will be back, as we have frequented the Clemson Rick Erwin's a few times a year, now I know to order the crab cake without sauce.
Our server was a Clemson student named 'Mac' who was from Greenville and it was her first week serving alone. She was great! Very personable, funny, and engaging - talking up Clemson with our daughter (a Clemson senior) that we were taking out for her 21st birthday. Great food and excellent service - we'll be back.
Wonderful meal celebrating my wife birthday with friends. What I thought might be a quaint table of four we were seated at a table adjacent to a birthday party table celebrating a birthday that included outdoor sparklers with a terrible odor. Another large group table was also adjacent to our table with a robust group of men. This looked like a group of men that worked together having a celebration type dinner. I didn't mind that so much but the sound levels to where we sat were just too high. Rick came by to check on us but it was prior to us receiving our main course. It was a long wait but our waitress, Mac was very accommodating. The kitchen was overworked but the food once received was delicious. Service was very good, but a noise separation needs to be installed to separate that large table in front of the large dining room from the tables to give us old folks a quieter environment.
Great food & service. Gracie was our server & she did a wonderful job. Impressed. Will reserve again.
