I visited last week and hung out for a while. I was amazed by the 16 local beer taps they had to choose from. I was schooled on their highly recommended Pizza or Pie as Lee called it. That was what I ordered and have now proclaimed it the Best Pizza Pie in Clemson. Go see Seth and the crew after work as the atmosphere to chill out in is as good as the food and service.
Elkmont is one of Clemson's/Centrals hidden gems. A fantastic place for a casual beer or two with friends. The inside bar has 6-8 tables and bar seating (there's additional seating), and has the BEST variety of beers on tap. Clemson is, sadly, not the best for the beer connoisseur but Elkmont has the best on tap. Jitters (coffee shop in Central) also has a great selection (my personal favorite spot for working, not so shameless plug), but Elkmont has a better restaurant...
Elkmont is always a pleasure to eat and enjoy a nice craft beer or wine. Their every changing beer menu (with some exceptions) is a nice experience.The menu is small but very tasty menu. I have yet to get something that I didn't love.
