Professional, attentive (but not overly) and an outstanding meal. Rick Erwin's always delivers a wonderful evening.
We had a wonderful Valentine's dinner at Rick Erwin's in Clemson and it truly made the evening special. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for a celebration. The manager was especially impressive—efficiently greeting guests and checking on everyone who walked in, which set a great tone for the entire dining experience. For dinner, my husband enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, which was beautifully prepared, tender, and full of flavor. I ordered the filet paired with a crab cake, and both were outstanding—the filet was cooked perfectly and the crab cake was rich, fresh, and delicious. Our wine and cocktails complemented the meal wonderfully and added to the overall experience. Between the attentive service, exceptional food, and the thoughtful attention from management, Rick Erwin's made our Valentine's celebration memorable. We look forward to returning again soon.
We love Rick Erwin's, but they always make it special on Valentine's! The food, service, and everything as a whole makes the experience one of a kind. Highly recommend for a holiday or a nice dinner any time of the week!
The food and service were both exceptional. The portions were quite large and we ended up with take home containers which is almost unheard of lately with restaurants shrinking the size, but raising the prices.
Another enjoyable evening and dinner and our waiter Dixon was great. It was my birthday so the mega sparkler with our dessert was great!!! We have enjoyed Rick Erwin's in Spartanburg too, they never disappoint!
Grace was our server and she is a total pro....I'll ask for her tables in the future. Although most of our food was excellent my wife's filet was overcooked..badly. This order was replaced immediately during the management rounds...it was much appreciated. We love this place and highly recommend.
Had a lovely dinner. The restaurant was beautiful and the waiter was sweet and attentive. I had the crab cakes and they were very good. The tiramisu was delicious and generous portion. The wine suggestion was spot on.
Our steaks were cooked improperly. My wife's filet was over cooked, and my steak was under cooked. The wines selection by the bottle was limited and they completely overpriced. The markup was more than twice retail pricing.
This is our 'go-to' restaurant in the Clemson/Seneca area. Service is professional, food presentation and flavors are consistently top notch, value for the quality of the food is best for this region. Bar service is excellent, and wine list is comprehensive. Eric, the on-site manager, runs an excellent restaurant and the consistency of the experience is very much appreciated.
Our table was in the back room, in the back corner, squeezed under a television. A crackling fire video played the entire meal. The steak was dry. The food was late. The server was pleasant and did her job. She was not responsible for the poor seating, food quality or terrible ambience. For a Christmas Eve meal, I was very disappointed.

to ensure that my food restrictions were respected, I spent almost a half hour on the phone. During that time the person I've talked to went back to the kitchen three times to check with the chef. I went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve feeling very confident that I was going to be taken care of. My food arrived, and I was very very disappointed and very, very hungry. The salad that we agreed on was inedible because it had so many raw white onions in it. I suggested a salad dressing instead I got some lemon slices . For my main meal, I had suggested a sweet potato casserole and told exactly how to prepare it. I got a sweet potato with nothing . The rest of my meal was basically not edible. The rest of our party said their food was pretty average. The bill was quite expensive and no one was quite as happy as they hoped to be. Will not be returning.
Wonderful as ever! The Christmas Eve dinner was cooked to perfection. Thank you Henry for your outstanding service. :)
The food and service were great. Management continues to show that they care about the patrons by visiting tables. Thanks...
Not perfect, but pretty darn good. This isn't a value restaurant, so three stars, but the service is good.
The decor is very nice and our server's assistance, Sophie was wonderful. Very attentive. Our Waiter on the other hand left a lot to be desired. When asking about wine, he said, " I am only 20 so I don't really know about wine?" When I asked him how the roasted mushrooms were prepared, he said, "I don't really like mushrooms." My wife asked him how a certain dish was prepared and he said he would check with the kitchen and when he finally came back to our table, he had forgotten to inquire. When our bill came, there was a charge for a different wine than what my wife had ordered, when I questioned him about the wine, he said, we had to substitute a different wine than the one you ordered. All in all, not very happy with our experience on this trip. This is not the first time we have dined at this Rick Erwin's, but I can assure you, we will not be going back to this location.
