As much as we like Calhoun restaurant, our experience tonight at Pixie and Bill's was disappointing. Service was friendly but food was really below average, unacceptable for the price, shrimps and fries without taste, as well as crab cakes. Seems it was not our lucky day!

We had a medium sized group celebrating an anniversary. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wines. I took home leftovers and my steak was delicious and tender even the next day. Unrelated to the restaurant, there’s a paved walking trail behind the restaurant along the lake shore that we enjoyed after our meal.

We really like Pixie and Bill’s as well as their sister restaurant, Calhoun’s Corner. Large menu with plenty of options for meals. The restaurant is reminiscent of yesteryear more than newer, more modern restaurants but we really like the vibe and atmosphere probably because of our age group. Our selection this time was the Mediterranean salmon which was delicious! Very tasty and well prepared! We will return soon for sure!!

Great steak, shrimp, baked potatoes.
Don.t eat the vegs. Not even cooked. Booze was a little light on shot. My wife's birthday. $100.00 for two.
I kindaa expected an a side salad in lue.or maybe a discount.
Pretty classy atmosphere for a small town.
I'll go back. Cause you could cut your steak with a fork. Filet mignon med well perfect
Unassuming old building, but the food is exceptional.
We started off with a loaf of buttery white bread which was excellent and a glass of water. After that we got a greek pizza appetizer which was amazing. The freshness of the vegetables combined with the taste of the crust was incredible. Our entrees were unmatched! My son's pasta was amazing, it was creamy and had good flavor and the chicken it came with was perfectly cooked and juicy and flavorful and all in all amazing. Even the vegetables which are usually bad when they come with pasta or any other meal were amazing. The broccoli, squash, and carrots were perfectly steamed with a little lemony flavor combined with a great seasoning. My steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes has got to be the best food I've had in a while. The steak was perfectly seasoned and juicy, it had this sweet and smoky sauce that was unmatched. The mashed potatoes were buttery and perfectly put together. The mushrooms were amazing as well! A young man greeted us and was very attentive and always checked up on us. It is a more pricy restaurant but it is worth every penny. The atmosphere is very elegant and warm. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, it's a shame that we were only here on vacation and live so far from an amazing restaurant.

We were so excited to take our son and daughter in law here for dinner. We had great memories from about 15 years ago. We left very disappointed. Rib eye was a poor quality piece of meat and arrived over cooked. Seafood cake was very heavy on breading. Our 2 chicken dishes were dry. We won't be back. Service was consciousness and polite but couldn't make up for the food.
Lovely atmosphere with lots of history and character. Our server had good intentions, but the speed and quality of service was not what is expected for a restaurant that this one is trying to be (higher end casual). The main problem was the food. Every thing missed the mark. Appetizers were either bland or way too spicy. Lobster bisque was a mess - weird spices, too much spice, and it had the wrong texture for a bisque. Main dish was terrible - poorly cooked fish, overly salted sauce, and a weird mix of flavors. Others in my party had the same problem. Dessert was generally good. For the price, there are better options in the area.

Traveling from Kansas our first visit and the tuna appetizer was our first fresh tuna. It did not disappoint! Excellent filet cooked perfectly. A must stop! Perfect service and friendly plus on top of our needs for food allergies.

Great service and food. I sat at the bar and my drink order was immediately taken and I was given a food menu. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the food came out hot within 20 minutes. The bartender was very attentive and had casual conversations with multiple customers while making sure everyone was good to go. Overall a great experience.

The food is quite overpriced for the flavors and quality you get. I had an old fashioned and was one of the worst I've had in awhile. The orange mule was better but still quite lacking for drink prices. It's not that the food is bad, but for how much you'll be spending it just isn't worth it.
