Pupuseria La Estrella Clemson

Found a cute little El Salvador restaurant in Clemson. It's called Pupuseria La Estrella Clemson. The entire staff are absolutely Amazing 😍, loved the wait staff(Daniela), the food and the atmosphere 😀. I'm definitely going back again. Daniela, Thanks for the fabulous tremisu cake, it was delicious 😋. On a scale of 1(worst) to 10(best), they are an 11(mind blowing delicious) !!! Definitely a favorite place to eat at !!

Wow, talk about fresh cooked food! The flavors here were outstanding!!! The rice with shrimp is to die for and the pupusas are so good!! Cooked fresh not frozen. If you are stuck in traffic or looking for a lunch spot on Clemson Blvd, definitely stop here! They also have breakfast, Honduran traditional breakfast, you should consider! Eggs are in the dish too!!

Daniela was super nice and quick to help me! Love seeing Central American food here. It is healthier and beats the Wendy’s menu next door !

Breakfast all day ! Ask for Daniella she is such a wonderful resource on what to order Delicious! The shrimp and rice is excellent the tacos are too. I love the breakfast platters.

The only thing I regret is not knowing about this restaurant sooner! Our area is seriously lacking in ethnic foods but La Estrella gives you choices of Honduran, Salvadoran and Costa Rican dishes. Daniella was so accommodating and helpful in describing and making recommendations for my lunch. I had a baleadas and a pupussa. Both were delicious. I could eat here once a week for sure!

Dietary restrictions: My husband has Celiac and I inquired about the GF options. Pupussas are made with corn flour and are naturally Gf. There are many options for anyone following a GF diet. Can’t wait for my husband to join me!

This was my first time getting pupusa and it was wonderful! I got the everything and chicken pupusa. Our server Daniela was very friendly and we got our food quick. We also enjoyed the telenovela :) thank you !

Such an amazing find! The food is SO delicious and authentic. You have to try the maduros con crema! Daniela was super sweet and personable, great service. This is definitely a new favorite spot.

Very good place to go to eat, the food was delicious and what we liked most was the excellent customer service of the person who served us, her name was Daniela, very friendly and professional.
We are on vacation in this city and of course we would return to this place next time.

So happy to say, after a year moving from ATL we have found a place that has our one of our many comfort foods.

Daniela was very welcoming and paid attention to all the details for our breakfast.

We had the DESAYUNO HONDUREÑO w/ the steak bites in onions 10/10, absolutely amazing. The eggs were done to perfection, while the steak was tender and flavorful. The cheese and sweet plantains were the perfect pairing to the entree. Did I mention the tortillas were handmade?? Yeah.

We then ordered 3 PUPUSAS, Mixta & Chicharron con queso, we were delighted. The were properly filled to the brim, the masa (dough) was very soft. Paired with their hot sauce & curtido (cabbage veggie mix in vinegar) ‘twas divine!

And to wash it all down a glass coke & a Central American style Horchata ?. It was all SO DELICIOUS!!

We got a kids platter as well for our little one, and even she enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries.

To end things on a sweet note, we had all 3 of their dessert options. Safe to say they’re all delicious but our favorite was the GUAVA CHEESCAKE, absolute MUST try.

We will most definitely be making this a go to spot in our household, & we will continue to highly recommend them!

This is place is amazing. You can tell someone’s abuella is back there cooking the food. The food is full of incredible flavor and the authenticity is rich with every bite. I would recommend this place to everyone 10 out of 10.
