Pupuseria La Estrella Clemson

Went there 9 months ago and the pupusas were a joke. No filling barely any cheese the rest of the food was average.Figured I'd try them again and again the pupusas had no fillers. I ordered chicharon and cheese and they came out just cheese and the cheese was yellowish. No casillo or even mozzarella. Who knows what it was. If your not going to make them right take them off the menu

Another gem of a small, independent restaurant that can’t be missed! Their traditional pupusas are made-to-order and delightful, but if you’re looking for a bigger meal, go with the tajada con pollo — simply incredible!

La Estrella is a fairly good Salvadoran restaurant. The tajadas was delicious. I ordered 5 pupusas, they had good masa but 50% of the filling was pretty much cooked cooked out of the pupusas and onto the grill resulting in a black ring around all the pupusas with very little filling, given this is their namesake it was pretty disappointing (maybe the cook just lost attention to the griddle or the pupusas didn't have enough masa to hold the filling). They did give generous curtido with my order though. I'd give them a 3.7 out of 5 and will probably try them again and re-review since I'm local to the area.

Found a cute little El Salvador restaurant in Clemson. It's called Pupuseria La Estrella Clemson. The entire staff are absolutely Amazing 😍, loved the wait staff(Daniela), the food and the atmosphere 😀. I'm definitely going back again. Daniela, Thanks for the fabulous tremisu cake, it was delicious 😋. On a scale of 1(worst) to 10(best), they are an 11(mind blowing delicious) !!! Definitely a favorite place to eat at !!
