Wonderful meal celebrating my wife birthday with friends. What I thought might be a quaint table of four we were seated at a table adjacent to a birthday party table celebrating a birthday that included outdoor sparklers with a terrible odor. Another large group table was also adjacent to our table with a robust group of men. This looked like a group of men that worked together having a celebration type dinner. I didn't mind that so much but the sound levels to where we sat were just too high. Rick came by to check on us but it was prior to us receiving our main course. It was a long wait but our waitress, Mac was very accommodating. The kitchen was overworked but the food once received was delicious. Service was very good, but a noise separation needs to be installed to separate that large table in front of the large dining room from the tables to give us old folks a quieter environment.
Great food & service. Gracie was our server & she did a wonderful job. Impressed. Will reserve again.
I I really enjoyed my time at this location. I actually live downtown Greenville right behind the Greenville location and I will say it is worth the drive to Clemson every single time they made my mom feel so special on her birthday. The food was excellent. They were very patient with my daughter. I forget my servers name but it was the tall African American guy he was training another server and still was super attentive to our table. The server assistant was so great that I thought he was our server. Although it was his first day he did GREAT! It was an overall great experience and I will continue to drive to Clemson for it.
We enjoyed celebrating our Anniversary! Thaddeus and Abby were our serving staff for the evening. Our food was delicious. Thaddeus was very attentive and happy to make our celebration the best. Rick Erwin's (Clemson) is our favorite place. We want to thank each and everyone for making our celebration a memorable time. Thank you Thaddeus and Abby!!!
Everyone's food was great and the service very attentive. We did however not get our “to go” leftovers only realizing when we got to the car
We sat at a high top in the bar. Since there was a Clemson game that day, it was a little lively, which was fine. The food was very good, however the brownie we had for desert was hard around the edges & could have been warmed up. It was ok, but not great for the caliber of this restaurant. It was also kind of chilly. I felt cold air blowing on me so I moved to the front of the table from the window. It felt like they still had the A/C on when it was only 50 outside.
Every time I go to this restaurant, I am made to feel as a special guest. The hospitality, the ambiance, and the food are always great. I highly recommend this place!
Our server was great! She took such great care of us making a sauce for my husband to use on their awesome fried onion rings. She took the time to talk with us throughout the dinner so charming and funny too! The manager Chloe was so accommodating taking care of reservations for a future visit. We always come here when we are in Clemson! Our favorite restaurant 😊
Wonderful place to celebrate my wife's birthday! Izzy our server made our evening extra special and was spot on with her advice. First time we visited will certainly be back
Relaxed ambiance, impeccable service, great choices on the menu and a wonderful wine list. Desert had so many choices that I ordered two and ate them both ! Definitely on my do not miss and must return lists.

Exceptional experience. From California and second visit here (daughter is an incoming Freshman at Clemson). Visited on a Monday and I'm always concerned about dining out on Mondays (is the best crew in the kitchen or is it their day off?, Are the ingredients fresh or are they leftovers from Friday and the weekend?). I'm happy to say that Rick Erwin's exceeded my expectations again in every way. Ordered rack of lamb and not only was it cooked to a perfect medium-rare the quality of the cut was top notch. From appetizers to dessert and coffee nothing disappointed. Staff is always professional and personable (thank you Grace). Extensive wine list weighted toward cabs, but has some nice French and Italians in there too. Highly recommend. Dining here will certainly be a highlight on our future trips to Clemson.
Our first time at Rick Erwin's, but definitely will not be the last! From the moment we stepped in the door until we left, a wonderful dining experience. Suggestions of appetizers and entrees were spot on. We had steak and scallops at our table and both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Don't forget to leave room for the crème brûlée!
The food was just okay. My steak was overcooked and the butter enhancement was much needed because there was little seasoning on the steak, however the enhancement did not have much flavor either. The sides were smaller than expected. The cocktails were very good. It was also VERY hot in the restaurant and we were uncomfortable.
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Jay took great care of us throughout the night and the food was delicious. The seafood tower was outstanding. It is a must for the full experience.
I had received a gift certificate from a family member (out of State) for Rick Irwins. This was used for my 20th Wedding anniversary with my husband. This was one of the finest eat out experiences I remember. The staff was very welcoming. the setting was very quiet and intimate. Our food was excellent ( special note on the Oysters from Prince Edward Island. We were also treated to a new corn bread added to the the bread basket. Along with the extremely staff we were seated to a personalized Anniversary card. My husband and I agreed this was a superb dining experience that we will certainly repeat. Hats off to Rick Irwins in ClemsonS.C
