The restaurant is very cute, decorated well and well lit. I was seated very quickly since it was close to opening time, but my drink order was taken about 10 to 15 mins after I sat down. The restaurant wasn't busy with only 6 other parties in the place. My waiter wasn't very attentive, and didn't ask to refill my water or coffee until after he gave me my check. The food portions were huge for the price. The taste was decent. I did not feel welcomed in the restaurant due to the lack of good service. If you are ok with poor service and long wait times(even at non busy times) then the food might be worth it. This place is a one and done for me.

It's nice, aptly very sunny inside, service is quick and friendly. I got a falafel wrap and it was a LOT of food for the price, but it also wasn't very good. The falafel was very dense and chalky and maybe it needed more tzatziki sauce or it distributed better. I think I just chose poorly. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and the menu is clearly marked concerning allergens, etc.

I’m one of four retired individuals who have eaten breakfast each Saturday at Sunnyside for nearly 7 years - until today, 3/29/2025. When two of our group approached the hostess for a table, we were told in very clear terms and in a loud voice that “you need to eat and leave” as they were busy and would have to “set a wait”. When we politely questioned what she meant, she moved closer and in a louder voice said “this is a restaurant and not a bar, and you need to eat and then leave”. Several other customers waiting for a table heard this and looked over at us in shock. In the several hundred times we’ve eaten here, spending up to 1-1/2 hours eating and socializing has not been an issue until today. I don’t know what prompted her outburst, as the staff (and food) at Sunnyside has always been a delight. She could have quietly and professionally communicated her concern, but chose not to. Given her very rude, condescending and totally unprofessional attitude, we will not be back. You will now have one more four-top table available for other customers each Saturday.

Seated quickly by lovely staff. Wait staff responsive. Very unique menu offerings. Waffles were wonderful but other items were average.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan clearly marked.

Three days ago, I went out for breakfast and ate at 10 AM. Six hours later, I started feeling nauseous and ended up vomiting ten times throughout the night. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. The doctor informed me that I had food poisoning. Even after three days, I'm still feeling unwell and haven't been able to eat anything.

The sausage is good. The eggs are good. The cheese is good. The biscuit was good. When they put all of that together though it was a mess. The biscuit got soaked in the egg and sausage grease and fell apart in my hands so it was just a plate of disintegrating sandwich.
Dietary restrictions: The kitchen refuses to make simple substitutions. I asked them to swap the potato cubes for fries and they would not do it.

The ingredients are high quality but the dishes are strange and they are not willing to make even simple substitutions
Dietary restrictions: Good luck. They won’t make substitutions on their dishes.

The staff was clueless. The waitress ignored us. We could hardly get anyone to come to our table to begin with. Wrong drinks given. Had to beg to get the bill and then had to wait forever just to pay and leave. Nothing about this place was worth the frustration or time involved.

I don't understand what the hype is about this place. I've been several times and several times due to the location.
The food is just okay. I've yet to have food brought out that hasn't obviously been sitting on the line long enough to lose its heat. The employees are I'd say a little on the snobbish side. Service is slow.
I think on work days that this restaurant is the lunch option, I'll just save my money and bring my own lunch.

The food was good, and our server was friendly and helpful. However, I wasn’t a huge fan of the batter used for the gluten-free French toast it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. A mimosa alongside would have made it perfect, adding a little extra to the experience!

Very busy, but yet FAST service.
I got the B52 bomber burrito.
This is served with 2 different salsas and homemade sour cream on top of burrito.
I opted for it to be on the side so the burrito was hot. Which they have disclaimers on items so you can get a real expectation on your meal.
I greatly appreciated that.
I would recommend this establishment to any friends or family.
Final note; the OJ was super fresh!
