Vicky at the front desk is the best! The room is typically what you would expect from a courtyard, clean and reliable: however Vicky at the front desk steals the show! She is so kind and has a bright energy. She talked to us kindly and gave us a good laugh. She is the very best, I appreciated that she wrote my room number on the card instead of stating it out loud for safety purposes and she was very personable.

Manager was unwilling to work with us. He was not flexible. We could not check out at 1:00 we had to pay for another night. Will never stay here again. Bad 1st impression for prospective student. Breakfast was bad, didn’t say anything but now that I’m writing review May as well. Will need to Uber. $15-$30 to campus with Uber.

Would have rated the hotel as a four star this visit but had to wait 15 minutes for the morning food and beverage person that makes the “specialty coffees” to arrive, which set me back a half hour. The everyday lady was in, and tried her best, but she does not make the Starbucks coffees. Otherwise the stay was fine.

In leu of Hurricane Ian, we are not in a position to travel tomorrow Sept 30 to Clemson for parents weekend. I booked the room many weeks ago and understand the no-cancelable rate policies of hotels. They are not designed to punish customers due to Acts of God including hurricanes. I am a business executive, frequent traveler, and a Platinum Elite Marriott customer. Given the circumstances, I phoned the hotel regarding cancelation (even of just one of the two nights). I was told "NO, and you'll need to speak to the GM. However he will to be available until Friday (our arrival day) and I wouldn't get your hopes up." There are NWS severe weather alerts for much of the state. I plan to escalate this with Marriott Corporate.

I’m a top Marriott Rewards member, and travel frequently for business. I often request a late checkout due to travel needs. Even though I had requested a late checkout at check-in, they kicked me out early.m It limited my ability to complete my client work, and I will look elsewhere the next time I visit the area.

We stayed here one night just so we could visit Clemson on our way down to Hilton Head. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool and playing games in the lobby area. The room we had was spacious, clean and had comfortable beds. We would stay here again if we were to return.

We have the privilege of staying at the Courtyard Marriott at Clemson on a trip to take our grandson to a ballgame for his birthday. The hotel is very nice, conveniently located and everything was extremely clean. The most outstanding part was the staff and management. The staff went out of their way to welcome us, and assist us in any way possible. I had the opportunity to interact with the manager, and he was so nice, and friendly, and wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. This will definitely be our go-to hotel when we visit the upstate. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

We arrived on April 8, 2022 around 11:30pm to check in to our room. When we got to the front desk, we were told that our room had no A/C. The unit was broken and would not be repaired during our stay. They would knock off $40 for our troubles. The hotel was full and there were no more rooms available. They said we could find somewhere else to stay without a cancellation penalty. Note- our reservation was confirmed on Jan 21, 2022- 10 weeks prior to our arrival!! We were never contacted by the hotel regarding no A/C. It was 1130pm on a Fri night in a college town on a spring game weekend. Thank God we found a room for the same price at the Hampton Inn 3 miles away that had A/C and wonderful accommodations. BEWARE!! YOU WILL NOT KNOW IF THE ROOM IS IN WORKING ORDER until you show up. Proceed with CAUTION with this hotel. We would have been homeless if it was a regular season football game rather than a spring game.

This hotel was very clean. The lobby was nice and the fitness room was great. The hotel has a small but nice pool area and an outdoor patio with a firepit. Overall is was impressed with the quality of this hotel.

What great experience. Erica the bar tender was helpful and very friendly. After 7 hrs on the road she was accommodating to our -8 month old and very kind and considerate. I will stay here in the future when passing through.

Location is good for visiting University and attending games. Only Marriott property I have visited bwith no water provided in room or at front desk. Seemed strange while they provided complimentary beverage and cookies in lobby. Check-in was poor. No ye contact or welcome by rep and no recognition of Platinum level Marriott member. Room was clean and bathroom large (especially shower). TV was smaller than normal and no safe in room. Common areas in lobby quite extensive for a Courtyard property.

We’ve stayed at this Courtyard several times pre-pandemic and been very satisfied. Our most recent trip was a huge disappointment. Our room was not cleaned once during our three night stay. We had to call for towels and the were unceremoniously handed to us in the evening in an unfolded jumble. The shelves at the store in the lobby, which usually a good stopping point for the things that a flyer can’t bring on board, we’re bare except a few forlorn Dramamine. The cafe in the lobby doesn’t open until 7 so you are out of luck if you are looking for coffee earlier. The menu was dramatically reduced despite the line and the fact that the hotel seemed to be full. The front desk was often unmanned and there was a line of us that had to wait for some to emerge from the back. My overall impression is that travelers are back but the Courtyard is not.

Stayed overnight before entering my new home in Clemson the next morning after 17 years in the Mohave Desert NV. Great hotel, very well managed and everything just purrrfect. Marriott quality came with it at a very reasonable overnight deal. Will certainly recommend to friends.

Stayed here several times over the past 2 years. Well kept up, friendly and helpful staff. If you are going to a football game and parked on the North side of the stadium, it’s a direct drive up Hwy 93. Can’t go wrong choosing the Courtyard by Marriott.
