The Esso Club is a popular spot in the Clemson Area, often referred to as The World Famous Esso Club/bar & grill. It is known for its kind gestures and welcoming atmosphere. While the interior may seem smaller than expected, the food is generally good, with some exceptions like the fried pickles, which can be soggy. The fried pickles, peach cobbler, and burgers are considered phenomenal. The service at the bar can be pleasant or unpleasant, and it can be a bit slow at times. The restaurant is a great place to grab a meal before or after a Clemson game, with the added bonus of being within walking distance from the stadium. However, parking is limited on the premises, so it is advisable to look for parking on the side near the dumpster, on the side road, or along the back. The portion sizes, especially for the appetizers, are enormous, making it a good idea to go with more than one other person if wanting to finish an appetizer.
