Our go-to sushi spot in Seneca area. We prefer it over another Japanese inspired restaurant in area. We always order Sushi for 2, which comes with soup, salad, appetizer, nigiri, and 2 special rolls. It’s very reasonable! Service is always friendly, attentive and quick. Thanks!

We usually go into Anderson or Greenville for sushi but I was too lazy to drive there tonight so we decided to go to Tokyo. The food is ok and service is usually pretty good. When a couple goes out to dinner, they expect to eat together. Well, this was not the case at Tokyo. My wife ordered a dinner and I ordered a roll. Ten minutes later the waiter brings soup and salad for my wife. Another ten or so minutes pass and the waiter picks up the dirty dishes. He returns shortly thereafter with my wife’s dinner. OK, I sometimes have to wait for the waiter to return with my roll but tonight was exceptional. My wife finished her entire dinner and I was still sitting there with no roll. Any apology from the waiter; no, he was clueless.Totally unacceptable!I don’t blame the waiter, I blame management. Obviously the wait staff has not been properly trained. I relayed my dissatisfaction to the waiter who just stood there, providing excuses. I’m here to eat a proper dinner and not listen to excuses. I ask for the manager.Moments later a young girl appears and I ask, are you the manager. She said, “yes”. She then says, “you asked to see a manager”? As if she has no clue what the problem is. I advise her and she immediately goes into defense mode explaining how they have two different kitchens and provides nothing but excuses! I immediately interrupter and say, I don’t care how many kitchens you have, I’m not interested in excuses; we're here to eat a proper meal. I never received my roll as I told them to cancel it and bring a check as my wife was finished. Can you believe that!Rather than offer some form of satisfaction, the manager just glares and walks away. This is total incompetence. She has no business being a “manager”.Any professional restaurant manager would have immediately apologized and never offered up excuses. A professional establishment would normally ask, how can we make this right, sir. The meal should have been on the house for their incompetence and for ruining our meal. Clueless and unprofessional. Your manager needs training and a lot of it as does your wait staff.P.S. Tell the real management they need to clean the dust off the wood surrounding and on top of some of the booths and to especially clean the windows, both inside and outside!Never again.

If you enjoy sushi, this is one of the best places in Clemson, SC. We frequently stop by for lunch, and everything is consistently fresh. Of course they offer dinner as well! We've never had a negative experience! Additionally, they offer hibachi tables for a unique dining experience in Clemson, located right on the main strip on the 123. You won't be disappointed."

This rating is based on the staff. The food was average. We had reservations for a birthday. We got there and were told that we would be sharing the table and had to wait for the other party. 20 minutes later we were called and taken to the table. The other party was there. They had drinks, appetizers, and the chef was fist bumping with them. We were seated and the chef ignored us. We waited another 15 minutes for someone to get a drink order. That was the only time that we were even asked about drinks and never got a refill of our water or asked if we wanted something else. After that they took the order for both parties and things proceeded as I would expect. I would ask that everyone treat this place like they treated us. Ignore them. Don’t waste your money. It is not worth the cost and they don’t deserve the business.

Their menu prices were different then the prices we paid. Lady said the correct cost was on the board behind the register and they just didn't have time to change the menu yet. Very deceiving! Will not return!

Tokyo is hands down my absolute favorite sushi spot! I've had many different types of sushi, including making it at home, but when given the opportunity, I'll pick Tokyo every time. I love the sushi bar and seeing the fresh ingredients displayed. It is a privilege to watch the sushi masters at their art. Never had a complaint for service. Our waitress this evening was very polite and attentive. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. It would be a wonderful spot for a date or celebration! Speaking of which, thank you Tokyo for a wonderful 35th birthday dinner. The rolls and soup were absolutely delicious!
