We visited this restaurant on a Thursday during what is probably a very busy time for the Riverwalk area. I went to their website and clicked the link to 'join our wait-list ' and was immediately given the message 'there is no wait come on in'. We walk in and are told the wait is 1 to 1 1/2 HOURS. So I report that their website states that there is no wait and am told that the website isn't updated and the button doesn't work. Well, yes, the button does work. I clicked it and received a reply. Your Halloween events would appear to be very popular. Why wouldn't you update your website? We'll never know if the food is good because didn't get past the door.

Delicious! This is a hidden gem in Conway. The food was good, and they have a beautiful view of the waterway. It can be a little hard to find cause it’s tucked out of the way, but well worth it. Our whole family was happy with their dinner.

Love the location and getting to sit out on the water but waiting 40 minutes for subpar food isn’t it. This was our 3rd time going, and we will not be back. 2nd time we went the brisket was basically a chunk of fat and not tender. We thought maybe it was just a one off problem because the 1st time we went everything was great. Our 3rd time going we waited forever for our food, chicken was dry and my husband’s ribs were so tough he could barely break one off to eat it.

Service was really bad and so was the food. Along with other reviewers, we were at the restaurant last night and it was chaotic. Lots of staff around, but they seemed misguided. We waited over an hour for the food and it was cold and greasy. Not returning.
Enjoyed the town’s festivities and was recommended this place. Unfortunately for being very busy they did not perform well. Waited over and hour for food with 0 refills on our drinks. Our waitress apologized that there was a big party in front of us which is understandable but at least offer us a refill or something. Food was mid which didn’t make up for it.

While out and about enjoying Halloween in Conway, my husband, our friend, her young son, and I decided to try Bonfire out. We read the menu and smelled all the yummy smells and decided to give it a go. There was an hour wait but that didn’t bother us because they were very busy and that gave us time to walk around and enjoy the City of Halloween. However, once we were called for our seats, everything went downhill. QUICKLY. Well, actually not quickly at all. We were sat and it took almost 15 minutes for a server to come to us. No big deal we thought. They’re busy. We were ready to order everything when the server did come and placed orders for apps, drinks, and our dinners. 15 minutes later we received 1 drink and the 2 apps. My drink was missing and the server didn’t notice until we said something 10 minutes later. That was 40 minutes in. We ordered the chips and queso and the taquitos. The queso was watered down and curdled. It tasted sweet and rancid. Downright disgusting. We sent it back. We have NEVER sent food back. The taquitos were okay but definitely not fresh and very soggy from sitting in a pool of salsa. Everything tasted of liquid smoke, not real and true smoke. After 50 minutes I received my drink and the server told us there was a large party in front of us that was slowing our food down. Okay. Fine. We continued to wait. 15 more minutes passed and she had never returned. Tables that had been sat 30-45 minutes after us were receiving their meals at this point. We received no refills during this time. Not to mention we had a very hungry child with us. After more than an hour and 15 minutes with no food and no waitress for over 30 minutes, we made the decision to leave. We were unable to locate her at all and had to go to the hostess stand. Luckily we were comped by a manager who never came out to speak to us for the 2 drinks and taquitos we received and were able to make it out to enjoy the rest of the night before the lights went out and we completely missed out on what we had actually come for. Thank goodness for the funnel cake food truck that was still open so we could feed the kiddo! (And us!)

We had dinner at Bonfire a smokin’ taqueria in Conway last night 10/3 (our second visit). Let’s start with the bug in my wife’s margarita while we waited to be seated. Bartender took the drink back without a word and made a new one. No apology, just stone faced. Got a table on the deck, met our server (best part of the visit) ordered potato skins starter. These came out as halved baked potatoes with bacon sprinkled on top. My wife and I both ordered the half rack ribs. These were advertised on the menu as St. Louis ribs, dry rubbed, basted and smoked. The dry rub tasted mostly of black pepper, there was not a hint of smoke. I’ve had smoked ribs dozens of times (including my own) and never had to cut them off the bone. The bone should just pull out. These, aside from being under cooked, were tough with no bark. I had two hazy IPA’s and the third came as a completely different fruity IPA. The coleslaw seemed to be fermenting as it was sour and had effervescent bubbles forming. It’s really a shame because the atmosphere and location are great and this kind of place is limited right by the river walk. Hope they improve, but I won’t be back.

Goods news was we were told it would be an hour and a half wait and we were seated in 45. Bad news after another hour and a half still no food. Food came finally and it was not hot. Server never asked if we wanted additional drinks. She did bring us a dish of stale chips to munch on ..

I can't even rate this place. Other then my waitress. I will never go back. This was our 2nd time. It was worse this time then last. Bug in glass from the bar, Ribs were not smoked, coleslaw and collards were sour. The only good thing was the glass of ice water we got. We are not from this area and unfamiliar with were to go to eat. But our next visit. I'll starve before I ever step in this place.

I had the hibachi tuna taco. The Small taco for $8 had 3 pieces of some fish on it. Mainly the taco had mushroom & potatoes on it. I could not taste the fish because it was overly smothered in Barbque sauce. Family members had burgers which i was told very dry & tasted like it was a day old. My other family had chicken sandwich which was also dry & tasted like barbque, despite the fact she told them no sauce.

The food was amazing. The waiter was very attentive and the vibes were great. Even better you can buy the sauces to go!

The food at this establishment is gross! They throw vinegar on everything, the mac and cheese was swimming in grease (?!), the bun on my pulled pork sandwich was soaked to mush with dill pickle juice! WTH?! No awards given the night we visited. What happened here? Disgusting. Worst food I’ve had thus far in Horry County!

It’s rare that I leave reviews for food establishments but this place needed it. Our server was one of the worst I’ve ever had, this does not reflect all other staff, we just got a bad one. It was 45+ minutes to get our food and server only, quickly, stop to ask if we needed anything. The Brisket was some of the best I’ve had but everything else was a big disappointment. Neither my wife or I finished our food and left hungry. In over an hour setting there the only employee we saw smile was the male bartender. He had a smile the whole time we were there. Everyone else look miserable or was on their phones. Our experience may not be your experience and we hope it’s not. Fair and honest review. Some background we have owned 3 food and beverage businesses and I grew up in the industry.
