We made reservations for 5:00 on Saturday night. We were going to the Nutcracker so we wanted to have enough time to eat and get there by 6:45. We arrived just a minute or two before that and we curtly told that we would not be seated until 5:00, and we were told to sit in the bar area we’ll 5:00 came and went my boyfriend went up and asked when we would be seated finally we were. The waitress was very nice but she might have had too many tables. She brought us water but never asked if we wanted anything else. We put our order in quickly and told her of our plans all appetizer came out timely but the dinner took along time. We said we wanted dessert and reminded the waitress that we need to leave soon. It took forever we ate it so quickly which took some of the joy away. By the time we finished and paid walked back over to the theater it was almost 7:00. We did make it. Later that night I got violently ill and was up all night sick. I had nothing else that day to eat except toast for breakfast. I believe it was the oysters or the root vegetables with my duck breast that made me sick as my boyfriend and I she parts of our meal but not those two items. I sent them an email that next morning telling them about getting sick. I never heard a word back from them. Disappointed

We went for lunch and a drink and it was really good. The crab dip is so good!! I got sweet potato chips with my sandwich & they were amazing!! Highly recommended trying this place. We’ll be back for sure.

1st time there and everything was fantastic. Yes we had a long wait but we walked the town being it was witches night. Beth Ann our server was fantastic, always made sure we were happy with everything and kept checking on us as warranted. Table of we all got the Steakhouse burger and it was delicious, the other 3 also enjoyed their burger. Great flavor and cooked and fries and onions rins wer tasty. I had the hashbrown casserole an it was tasty, could of use a little bigger serving tho. Drinks were great, atmosphere was great and everyone is restraraunt seemed to be enjoying their evening. Yes we will be back.

Absolutely delicious lunch. Huge portions for lunch and you most definitely get your money’s worth. I wouldn’t expect a fine dining restaurant to serve good Mexican cuisine but this chimichanga was fantastic. We will definitely be back for lunch again. They have a large variety of choices on their menu.

All the different flavors you got in each bite were beyond amazing. This has definitely been the best tasting food I've ever had , I'm a food snob.

This was not only the best food, but the best experience we’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was busy and fun while also offering an intimate date night vibe. The crab dip was some of the best we’ve had in the area and it will be extremely difficult to order anything other than the parmesan grouper & risotto. It easily made its way into our top 5 best dishes in all of Myrtle beach. Truly incredible all around. Megan took care of us and we highly recommend asking for her when possible. We will absolutely be recommending Rivertown Bistro to our friends and family. Thank you all for such a great experience!

I was in town for the weekend. I like to try local places and love a good brunch.! Found them online and I am so glad I did. The place is super nice and the staff is great! The bloody-tini was delicious and the BIG chicken biscuit fed me for the day! Chicken was a little tough, maybe cooked too fast, but it was still delicious.
