Went to try it out. Guess I'm spoiled from living on the Alabama Gulf Coast. The fried green tomatoes were superb! I really liked the slaw. The grilled baby shrimp were not to my liking...drowned in some kind of overly-salty, butter. Hush puppies were ok and were served ice cold. Our server was inattentive and rude. No knives on the table, only forks. She served our very hot, delicious fried green tomatoes with no plates. I had to ask for plates and knives. Got a rude response from her. The younger server was a delightful young lady who was sweet, friendly and accommodating. SHE is an asset to the establishment...not the server we had. My husband got the fried flounder with fries. Said it was OK. Doubt that we'll be back.

The food is good, and meal portions are reasonable for the price. However, someone should rethink what sides are and how much sides should cost. Usually hush puppies are a staple part of a fish dinner not a side. Also, charging $8.49 for a small (maybe 4oz cup) of green fried tomatoes is a little questionable.
I eat here all the time always the flounder and shrimp. The other day I stopped at bills kitchen a food truck near longs. Same price. They advertised fresh local fish and shrimp. I ordered to go and and thought I hit the lottery. Yeah, it made me realize just how good Sam's is. I'm heading there right now actually.

Wonderful seafood! Everything we had was great, except the French fries needed more time in the fryer. My husband had the shrimp po'boy and was still talking about the bread 2 days later. We will definitely be going back.
