This is a cozy beautifully landcaped cafe in a refurbished large older home. Inside is adorned in oil paintings and pieces made by local artists. It has a warm eclectic ambiance with very friendly staff who add to the southern charm of this place. You get the get the cozy feeling that you may get visiting a friend’s home. We had shrimp and grits which was simply out of this world delicious. A generous portion of shrimp, creamy grits and gravy enhanced by slightly spiced andouille sausage. The triple chocolate torte (65 % cacao) with homemade topping was just the right amount of chocolate and sweetness.

Came here yesterday for the first time for breakfast. The quiche lorraine was delicious as was the breakfast burrito my husband got. We also each grabbed a slice of cake since we were celebrating getting married and got a slice of raspberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. He loved his cheesecake and the mousse cake was definitely the best I ever had! The service was wonderful, the owner was lovely and kind, and the overall environment was one where you feel so welcomed and comfortable from the moment you step in. I will absolutely be back

The BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had! Also had amazing she crab soup and coffee. The atmosphere was so cute and fun, the staff was so kind and helpful, and the food was sooo fantastic!!! I live 2 hours away and I'm considering going to Conway again just to eat at this place. I'd give it a 10 out of 5 stars if I could!

This charming farm to table cafe in Conway, SC (not too far from The Coastal Carolina campus) is a must stop if you are not n the area! The food is delicious. A mix of Southern charm farm to table with a twist of gourmet without the pretentiousness. It’s set in an old craftsman home on Main Street Conway, SC. An inviting from porch and decorated with local artists pieces. They have private rooms perfect for a small special occasion dinner. The staff is warm & inviting. The chef will stop by your table for a chat about the food, local artists and even favorite tv and movie recommendations. You feel as if you have been invited into their home for a special Sunday brunch. GET THE BISCUITS. And then Get a 2nd order to take home! Worth every carb. The Crab Benedict is perfection. With loads of lump crab and perfect seasoning. French Toast sandwich was huge. You will be having the other half for dinner or the next day since you may still be full from Brunch! The breakfast bowl with eggs any style was presented so well. I did poached eggs with grits, bacon, stewed tomatoes and cheese. YUMMY. We were too full for dessert but peaked at the menu and I wish we left room for it. You will leave this charming cafe, full, happy and feel like you just made friends with everyone that works at the Shine Cafe. It’s a delicious happy place!

My mama was a great cook and she would have loved this place. I try to eat there once a week. My favorite dishes are chicken pot pie and turkey & dressing. The best sides are charred greens with bacon and squash casserole. Quiche Loraine and she crab soup are awesome too.

Owner rude. We came in at 9:30. Place was empty. Told us he was going going home art 10. “Order and drink fast”. So not worth it. Market Common has many other bars and restaurants that are better. No one here

It was Sunday and my wife and I arrived rather late in the afternoon, and thought the Cafe might be getting ready to close since it was 2:00 pm. So we began walking back to our vehicle, and the Head Chef came outside, and waved us back , and so we returned to sat indoors. We'd been there once before, and took in the menu which was interesting like the place itself. The service was prompt, but they were out of a few things with some of the dishes, and had to make adjustments to our order. The staff was very polite, and the food served was satisfying. I thought it had a nice gourmet flair, we'll presented, and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. The Head Chef was very accommodating, but had a lot of her own personal opinions she about the current state of things as it related to politics and other extended discussions we really didn't need to know about, and do not share. With all due respect, we would have just preferred a short lighter chat, and less chat while attempting to.complete our meal. Over all, the dining experience was as I said earlier, very satisfying. * * * * Four Stars

You will take a shine to this beautiful restored house turned cafe serving nothing but made from scratch cooking. Located on Main Street by the library this historic Chestnut house was built in 1927 and completely restored in 2017 by the owners. The history of this home was that a female architect built it and it served as a family home, a boarding house, Tea Shop, bridal shop and now a cafe. Owner and Executive Chef, Leslie Wilson, has not only painstakingly restored this stately home but has greatly invested her time, passion and culinary skills creating some of finest down home cooking with an International flair you will find locally. And don’t be surprised when she personally comes to your table to chat, as she is just is just as passionate with her customers. One can dine on the front porch, inside the main house with restored wood floors, tongue and groove paneled ceiling and brick fireplace or out back on an open patio that is beautifully landscaped. Sunday brunch was being served with a number of breakfast entrees and quiche, soups, sides and sandwiches. And don’t forget the made in house desserts and cheesecake. Our Breakfast Bowl was a good serving of seasoned chunky potatoes, bacon, stewed tomatoes, choice of egg (ours scrambled) and topped with melted cheddar cheese. Completing the meal was the decadent blueberry custard tart with fresh blueberries and flaky crust. From the hostess to our server everyone greeted us with a smile and Cassie did an outstanding job. While one is waiting, peruse the local art on display and for sale in the entrance and/or throughout the house.

We wanted a locally owned place for Sunday brunch in Conway and we are so glad we found the Shine Cafe. It's in a former house and is divided into several rooms plus the front porch. The menu is what we wanted - a choice of breakfast or lunch. I will admit it, I am a purist when it comes to my eggs Benedicts and theirs had regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon but I tried them anyway. Oh my goodness, these people can do Eggs Benny! Even the owner? manager? swung by the table to make sure the eggs "jiggled." They did, and the hollandaise was spot on perfect. I mean, perfect. My wife's omelette was very good too. Their coffee is great too. Our server was great. She seemed so sincere and wanted our meal to be what we wanted and more. We got two desserts to go. Two entrees, a juice, coffee, and the desserts came to $55 but well worth it. I'm so tired of so so pancake houses and places that don't appreciate fresh ingredients and basic cut corners recipes. They said, they were short staffed but service was everything we wanted. We don't live in Conway but would drive there anytime just to eat at Shine Cafe.

I have heard wonderful things about this place. Went with a co worker yesterday and was told they were short staffed but we waited an hour for our food and we had to leave to get back to work so they boxed it. When were got back to work we opened up the food to find it was very overcooked, burnt in fact. We had ordered the burger week special of the Asian cheeseburger wontons. 2 orders both burnt. The she crab soup was very good. Maybe a suggestion to not take so many customers if we have to wait an hour for burnt food.

This is a house slightly converted into a restaurant. We ate on the porch and the experience was wonderful. The food was prepared with care . It was delightful to the eye and the pallet. The staff were friendly, helpful and willing to make our visit memorable.

What a cute place! Everyone in the staff was super friendly, they even gave my son a bag of toys to play with. Was pleasantly surprised to see they had live music at 11am on a Saturday. The food was really tasty, delicious coffee and a cute little shop. Gorgeous trees outside and adorable outdoor seating as well. If we are ever in the area again we’ll be back!

Food and service were wonderful today. My wife even placed a to go order to have for dinner this evening. Only suggestion would be to pick through the crab meat a bit better when preparing the soup. Ran across some small bits of shell here and there but regardless the entire experience was still a 10 out of 10 !
