I frequently launch my boat there, and eat lunch or dinner when I get off the water at their restaurant . They have the best cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks in the entire SC low country!

Some people there was very friendly. The food was horrible. The towels and washcloths were nasty. The room we stayed in the window was broken and had tape on it looked like.
Rooms: Not nice at all
Nearby activities: There wasn't nothing there to do

If you’re looking for a true hidden gem in Cross, South Carolina, Black’s Camp is the place to be. When you pull up, you’ll see they own the entire area, with plenty of parking and a prime waterfront location on the Santee lakes. The first thing you’ll walk into is a fully stocked convenience store and bait and tackle shop, perfect for all your fishing needs.
In the back, you’ll find a spacious, clean restaurant with plenty of room to relax. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food is outstanding, whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My personal favorite breakfast item is the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich—I loved it so much that I had two of them while I was there!
For lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with the hamburger. It’s a half-pound of hand-pattied, in-house beef, and it ranks among the best burgers I've ever had. I also tried the fried flounder, which was delightfully light, flaky, and crispy.
With a boat ramp out front, a campground, and a motel on site, Black’s Camp has everything you need for the perfect lakeside getaway. Fishing, lodging, dining—what more could you ask for?

Had a double cheeseburger. That thing was massive and there must have been a pound of fries.
Wings and onion rings were excellent, almost like old times! Waitress was so thoughtful. Looks like things are improving rapidly!
By the water, the rooftop bar❤️

We live nearby and have recently started eating breakfast at Blacks Restaurant again. We used to eat there for years but stopped going about 6 years ago. This is NOT the old Black's Restaurant...the breakfast when we've been going during the week (ordering from the menu) has been consistently EXCELLENT. We HIGHLY recommend. And the prices are reasonable. We do not recommend eating from the buffet though. We've been two Saturdays recently and they were having trouble keeping fresh food out. Today there were just hard crumbles of eggs and we inquired about fresh eggs. It was about 35 minutes before any came out. Other customers were also asking about eggs. The server (not sure of her name) told us that the kitchen had to get the food for the people ordering from the menu before they could put more eggs out. Eventually the manager stopped by and went to the kitchen to check . There were fresh eggs about 10 minutes later. Seems like maybe they need more help? We will definitely go for the very good breakfast and service (Jennifer) but just won't be choosing the buffet from now on. We would have given them five stars without the buffet issue. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu.
We just visited for an hour. Very nice place on water. Customer service was outstanding. You will need a boat to fish.

Room was pretty good, I could tell it had been updated, Location was great. WiFi was great every night. The fish house was great for cutting fish, I wish there was a fan of some sort, so that the bugs are not as bad, but it was nice to have never the less. The Service sucked to say the least. When at the restaurant the waiter was crabby and couldn’t wait to walk away, even when we were still ordering and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The cashier person in the store/front desk would not make eye contact and ignore everyone even when being spoken to, they would just walk away. I was asking for help finding something and had to figure it out on my own. The house keeping was rude. We put out the “make our room” twice, the first day our card disappeared. After grabbing another one, we put it out again and it was on the floor. Now I am thinking, oh the wind must be bad. I went over to the house keeping because my husband was on toilet and didn’t have any toilet paper. The girl walked over and grabbed it, and I said “Thank you, i appreciate yall” her response? “Well I appreciate a dollar”. The next day we put out the card again to “make up my room” the card was on the floor and the towels were hung on the door. After spending a week at the lake, it was quite gross getting to the end of the week without any sheets being changed and having yuckiness in your bed. I would have changed them myself if that was part of the house keeping. I didn’t realize that house keeping was only if tips were present. I normally tip at the end of my stay and would be present based on if and how much I was helped. We stay every year at this establishment, and hope for a better experience with house keeping in the future. The owner is incredibly nice and helped as much as he could at the beginning of the stay and readily accessible if you went looking for him.

Great place for a retreat for fishing! Our cabin was small but very cozy and convenient! Our guide was awesome!!!
Nearby activities: We were literally 60 feet off the water and right down from the dock!
Walkability: You could walk to the dock or the little country store for bait, supplies, or some food!
