Good food!
Good southern cooking and hospitality to match. With very very very reasonable prices
Everything about that place is wonderful, the price, the portions, the service, everything!
Popular 50s-style diner close to Darlington Raceway and has some impeccable food options!
Ate here in 2018 on a hurricane deployment, and decided to take a trip on parking lot stays and things seen. Everybody loved my retro Takis shirt.
I never write reviews but I feel the need to for this place. It was our first time (from Hartsville) and certainly won’t be our last. Food was fantastic and the service was even better! Very welcoming atmosphere which is rare these days. 10/10!
Best food in Darlington!! we pick up our food from here @ least 5 days a week they are always friendly & you can't beat the price!! thank you Takis!!
The staff are very friendly and do a great job.
For breakfast, we were PROFOUNDLY DISAPPOINTED today!
We eat breakfast here occasionally. It took a 45min wait, once we ordered and my omelet was NOT as ordered. Every other customer around us, who arrived AFTER us, got their food ahead of us. Our server LIKELY misplaced our order. Even on a normal visit to Takis, the food is just ahead of mediocre, but today, it fell off the log. And when I brought all this to their attention at the register, they really didn't care. Takes is VERY hit or miss. Be aware when you dine!

I never would have stopped here based on the name, but I passed by and saw they served breakfast. I'm glad I stopped in. Great spot for breakfast.

My chicken salad sandwich on Texas toast, all I could taste was the toast and Mayo and celery. Chicken needs to be seasoned while it's cooking and again after the salad is made, otherwise, it has no flavor whatsoever. My husband's hamburger, served somewhat warm, was obviously not hand patted from fresh but was a frozen patty with no flavor, the lackluster tasting chili on top didn't help and served with ice cold french fries. We won't be back. I wish they cooked better and used fresh ingredients and timed fries and burger to come out hot at the same time. If they could make seasoning improvements, work on food temp times and buy fresh ingredients, I'd give it another chance because I really wanted to like this place, it's clean and service staff is great.

Not busy, but slow service. Prices are fair, atmosphere outdated and disrepair.

Deducted a star for the onion rings, not my favorite, but purely just my opinion, my husband had them and liked them. I prefer breaded onion rings, these were battered. Wings were crispy and the mozzarella sticks were really good.
