My husband and I stopped by on a Tuesday for his birthday! We were greeted with hospitality. The wine tasting was so nice for just the two of us on a weekday. Very tailored service to us. Great wines, so tasty and nice flavor…. Love the fruit notes. We had a great time! And bought some small bottles and told them we would be back! ❤️ thank you!

We passed a sign for this winery on our way to Lake Jocassee and decided to check it out today. We were greeted by the owners’ son and he walked us back to the tasting room which was a very cozy, beautifully decorated space. We immediately felt welcome and were given a plate of crackers, nuts, and chocolate to accompany our mead and wine. The owner was very passionate and took his time to explain all the wine flavors and answered questions about his bees and wine/mead making process. We had such an enjoyable time, brought some delicious wine and mead home with us, and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

This is one of the best wineries I have been to. The owners are extremely nice. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The wines were very good and the prices were great. If I come to the area again I would definitely go back.

We stopped in on a whim while vacationing from central South Carolina. Ira and the lazy bear family really have something amazing going on here. We went in and did a full sample of everything they make. All of their wines are incredible and were paired with little things that compliment each one. The oak blueberry was both our favorite one and the blueberry mead is definitely one of the best meads we’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back to stock up when we are back in town.

We loved our experience at Lazy Bear Winery!Our tasting was their full selection for the extremely reasonable price of $15, and each wine was delicious, and we were provided snacks to compliment our tasting. I found my new favorite, and even got it in a candle version. The staff are warm and welcoming and made our experience a lovely one. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
