El Guerrero Mexican Restaurant

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this food was awful. This is the only Mexican restaurant I have ever been to where a chalupa was a tostada with lettuce, tomato, and refried beans on a crunchy corn tortilla. The chicken enchilada was bleh. The one thing that was great was the salsa and chips, hence the one star. The waitress did not know the menu at all (the chalupa was a fried flour tortilla with beef, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream), which is why I ordered it in the first place. I feel bad for Edgefield, and now know to eat in Greenwood before I come to the doctor.

Very pleasant! Love the new additions they are adding to the place, can’t wait to be back! The prices are pretty standard nothing too expensive. Lots of parking, the patio is such a vibe, during sunset hours definitely recommend sitting outside, with a nice cold margarita in one hand and a queso fundido!

I’m an Edgefield native so I decided to give this place a try in hopes of having good food and drinks. This was my first time time ever trying this place since they’ve been opened and was excited to give them a try. The place was fairly unoccupied but the server wanted to seat right in the front entrance. That table didn’t suit us, so we moved a few feet over. The server came over with a spicy attitude about us moving seats. When I corrected him, he stomped off talking loudly yelling “I’m not serving that table, she doing too much” and I heard him clearly! Five minutes later he came back as if I wasn’t going to say anything about his unprofessional conduct. As I expressed to him what I heard and how I felt, he stomped off again cursing and talking loudly again. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of restaurants in Edgefield because I would’ve left. A few minutes later Monica came over and served us. She was very polite and professional and says this server has a lot of issues with people. My question is why do you have this unprofessional, unhinged, untrained person at the establishment? Then to top it off, two days later, I was sent a bad review about this same place having roaches and the customer was mistreated by a female server. What type of nasty, unprofessional establishment is this? They need to shut down this place! Bad service and rodent issues isn’t what Edgefield wants or deserves!! Zero stars!!!!

Food sucks, couple of years ago it was just kinda ok but it’s terrible now. This place has a lot of potential being it’s the only Mexican restaurant in Edgefield, management sucks, food sucks, portions suck. If your looking for good Mexican head to SLP in North Augusta they are the best!!!

Where to start...
Let's start with the food, I don't know what you have to do to get chicken so dry, that it has the consistency of shredded beef jerky. The fact that I had to go home after ordering to go, to ADD SEASONING to the food that's supposed to have seasoning. And the queso, why does it taste like watered down mozzarella?
Service? What service? It's as if this place is ran by a bunch of toddlers.

Simple as that, replace the whole staff team, and put someone back there that knows how to cook.

Went in at 330 pm and was told to pick a booth no one came back the staff was more involved in their conversation and the language was very not inappropriate for customers to hear while I was there so I left and did not get any attention so I cannot rate the food but customer service really bad

Called and placed an order to go the cost before tip was $70.Came back home and put the same order online to see how much it was minus jalapeños it was $57.Called the restaurant to understand why the decrepicey, got a whole lot of run around.Will not be going back.

Solid Mexican restaurant never had bad food or service

Tonight we were seated and served chips, salsa, and drinks. Had our order taken. 40 minutes later never checked on. Drinks were empty and no food. Started seeing people who arrived after us served and had their food within 10 minutes. Was finally able to get the waitresses attention and asked for our food to be checked on. 5 minutes later told “ it will be 10 minutes they were working on other tickets “. Bull. Walked away before we could respond. Food arrived was dropped and she ran off again. Still no refills. Finally comes back and asks if we wants refills. Grabs the glasses and runs. Drops them off and runs again. Food was salty and not worth the wait. If a manager existed they certainly were not checking on tables.After reading other reviews it’s obvious this was not a one time issue. We will not return.

About 7 years ago I frequented this establishment weekly for years. Decided to go back only to see the same management but very poor service. It was close to closing time so they were only offering take out which was perfectly fine. Only problem was the lid to one of our plates was half way put on and spilled all over the floor board of my truck, there was no plastic silverware or napkins, and they forgot my flour tortillas. Maybe I just picked a bad day. But $53.00 for two people with no drinks is absolutely unacceptable with this service especially. I think next time outback or chili's. Hell even McDonald's

Our experience was just horrible! There were seven of us and I wanted a nice supper with my sons and family. The waitress ignored my daughter in laws order. The beef burritos had burned steak, pineapple was on my salad and it has zero flavor and was old. My steak was not fully cooked. We were never told to pay check at register. My dil ordered 2 beef burritos and got one beef one chicken. Cheese was not warm and we were served a basket with all small broken pieces of chips. Just horrible food and atmosphere. We paid the bill without comment because no one seemed to care about the customers. We won't be back.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not! The sidewalk was all torn up.
