We were a group of two people who decided to try this place for lunch. The restaurant had one table in the front room with four people who had just sat down. In the back room, they had a table set for 8-10 with two people sitting waiting for others to arrive.
They placed us in the back room next to the kitchen entrance. I asked if they could move us into the other room and was told no since the other room had tables for four, and we were just two.
This poor customer service was completely unexpected.
We did get up and leave, so I can not give a review on the food, but. I would not return or recommend it.
We came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch at it was absolutely delightful! Classic swing music playing, perfect atmosphere, cozy home, and great food. Friendly service as well. They made me a custom lavender lemonade which is so refreshing and the honey butter chicken & shrimp was soooo good! Highly recommend this stop for locals and visitors alike.
It would be a crime to not eat here if you're in Edgefield! I'll be traveling a considerable amount of miles just to experience this place over and over again.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere. It’s located in a small South Carolina town with a few local shops and even a distillery outlet. Worth the visit!!
Excellent food and atmosphere! Service was great and prices were surprisingly reasonable. Will definitely go again!
What an awesome place! Food was incredibly good, service was great and prices were very reasonable especially given the quality and presentation of the food. What a hidden gem! Will definitely go back soon!
Accidentally stumbled upon you on our journey in the south, and stopped in to our great delight, to a step back in time and a wonderful dinner with good Southern cooking.
The food was top of the line and Stan made our experience one of a kind. He catered to every request we had and was simply the best host I have come across at any restaurant. The food and overall experience was unforgettable. Thank you Stan!
Awesome place with a great atmosphere.. will be going back.
Just off the town square is the Old Edge field Grill. The house is an old girl with a beautiful interior. The host seated us immediately and a lady took the drink orders while we viewed the menu.
My friend ordered the BLT with sweet potato fries, I enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits that was recommended by the lady in the distillery in the town square. Both were delicious! The portion size was perfect for both.
Including the tip the bill came to just over $36. Please stop by and give them a try.
You can find them at:
202 Penn Street, Edgefield, SC.
Parking: We parked on the town square to browse shops. Parking is available at the Grill.

Took a while to get our food so if you have limited time, this won't be the place to stop. I had a peach salad and my friend got a peach soup as a side and it was uniquely and refreshing.
