I went to lunch with two other friends and we were promptly seated and brought our drinks and then we placed our orders in a timely fashion And we sat there for probably 30 to 45 minutes before our simple plates got out to us. They didn't come and tell us anything they didn't say anything they just let us sit there and wait and we were kind of wondering where our food was going to be in then miraculously it appeared. The food was good. I dined here several times, without incident.

Delicious! Went here with family who were local to the area for dinner and really enjoyed the food. We all sampled a bit off each other’s plates and didn’t have a single thing that was bad. I ordered the seafood risotto which was cooked perfectly. The scallops had a nice sear and weren’t over cooked, the shrimp were also cooked very well and were nicely seasoned and the risotto was cooked perfectly and was very creamy. My wife had the duck breast which had a great sear on the fat and it was very well seasoned. The staff were attentive and very courteous. Would definitely come here again if we’re in the area.

I went with my gg, she is very picky about her food btw. We both loved it! She loved the chx salad sandwich, the bread was her favorite haha( pretty sure it’s homemade). She also got clam chowder soup, she said the clam was just the right amount not to overpowering. I loved the mashed potatoes, oh my goodness; to die for. I also got the collards and cubed fried steak, Delicious! Definitely coming back again!

First time going here.very nice folks, nice atmosphere. Food not so much. My shrimp and grits were almost cold and had one small piece of sausage and grits barely done. My son did not enjoy the shrimp scampi. However My husband's burger was very good. He shared with me since I did not care for my entree. Took 30 to 45 minutes after we ordered to get bread, salad and drink and an hour + for entree. Unfortunately, my first and last time. Maybe it was off night but a lot of $ not to be pleased.

The food was beyond amazing with delicate yet rich flavors. We ordered fried risotto balls, steamed dumplings, seafood chicken bog, sea bass, and chocolate cake with ice cream. The service was fantastic, and the place is child friendly.I cannot wait to go back.

Historic restaurant in downtown Edgefield. Great atmosphere, Food was good. Shrimp and grits were very tasty as was the sea bass. The strip steak had good flavor as was medium rare as requested but not as tender as I would have liked. Overall a nice visit to someplace different than franchise restaurants.

This place is awesome, you have to try it. Take a country drive to edgefield, SC..it's look like a small town, but this restaurant is big on food quality and service. Very pleasant atmosphere.

This is a hidden gem….well worth the drive. We have eaten almost everything on the menu and really enjoyed it all. It is a nice place for couples, business lunch, family and friends. Great service!!!!!!!!

Atmosphere of a 5 star resteraunt. Please take into account that the restaurant is inside a house that is over 100 years old. I walked in wearing t-shirt and pants while everyone around me was suit and tie. I was seated and treated like I was in a suit and tie. The meal was amazing. The menu is just the right size to provide variety and still small enough that the quality is not lost. This is a locally owned business. It is not a chain or celebrity chef's restaurant. The chef is still a superstar and prepares everything to perfection.
