Govan's Sports Blues and Soulfood Restaurant

The food, aesthetics and vibes were definitely a 10 out of 10! The establishment was very clean and the service was fantastic and quick. I will definitely be back in the near future. So glad I made that stop today!

Last night was my first time at this bar and grill and I had a great time, the food, drinks and atmosphere was great. The owners are friendly and I was very impressed with cleanliness of the entire establishment, the ladies room is decorated beautifully. The fact that it's a black owned establishment made me proud. I reside in the Columbia area but have friends and family not too far from this place so I intend on visiting at least once a month and I will definitely tell me friends and family about my great experience at Govans.

We had our first experience at Govan’s this weekend and we LOVED it! Everyone in our party thought the food was delicious! The area is spacious and we enjoyed the live music and dance floor! We will definitely have to visit again soon!!

Wanted to thank the Govan family for such a great night. Great family, Great food, & the Entertainment that night by Rylan James Music it was all awesome. Rylan James who sang and played the guitar all evening packed the house as he said he would. He packed the house, yes he did. As a local radio station were commenting how Rylan was a local young rising star going to be playing at Govans. Ms Deb & her family are such good people. They’re from Hilton Head where their Momma first started a restaurant now operated by her grandson and 8 yrs ago they started Govan’s in Fairfax w/ her husband and family. We sure appreciate all your support and appreciate all the good food & great atmosphere you provide to so many Mr Govan who cooks all the food & to the rest of your family that help to make this restaurant a success for 8 yrs. Thank you. This was my 2nd time at Govans first time came to watch my grandson Rylan James sing some songs & I ordered the pork chops. Very good This time I ordered Parmesan Chicken Wings. Now I have 2 favs at Govans. Saw The ox stew served, shrimp & grits, pork chops, wings, steak. The list goes on. The food was awesome & so was Rylan James being his first night to be solo entertainer. Also That night was his first night selling merchandise RJ Music hats and T-shirts. There was family there, friends to followers of Rylan James Music to regulars to ones that stopped by for the first time. It was a great night at Govans. Awesome Restaurant, down to earth atmosphere. Good people and food. I'll be back every chance I can, the bands are soo good and that dj is off the chain.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It’s fun, friendly and the food is fantastic. I love all of their dishes, especially their wings. But if you want a treat, get the shrimp and grits. Delicious! It’s different than any I’ve ever had. Chef Govan tops it with some kind of magic gravy that is yummy. Love this place!

This place is amazing! We had dinner here and it was amazing!!! We had six in our party, everyone in our party got something different and we all rated our food 10/10. The staff was so friendly!!! I highly recommend this place!!!

We stopped here on the way back home from Tybee Island and had a cheeseburger. The food was very tasty and not overcooked. I would definitely go back again.

I so enjoyed my meal at that restaurant yesterday evening. We were there with Theresa & Dewayne Dobson. The collards & fried oysters were amazing. Thanks for the hospitality, love your little restaurant.
