Visited for breakfast. Potato casserole was dry but overall, my pancakes, sausage and bacon was very good.

Beyond BAD - I have traveled extensively throughout the USA and Cracker Barrel (CB) was always my “go to” restaurant for good, fast and reasonable priced meals: However, my latest experience at the Florance, SC (069) restaurant changed all that! What this restaurant served was by far the worst food I have been served, anywhere at any time! Over the last several years I have noticed a definite decline in the CB food quality but, this was the final straw. See specifics below:
• Biscuits – CB used to be known for fantastic homemade biscuits; In this case what was served were soft, soggy and smothered in half congealed butter/oil. They were evidently cooked much earlier, then steamed to serve and tasted like eating half cooked dough.
• Fried Chicken Tenders – These were obviously cooked a long time before I ordered them and then heated on the grill. They were soggy and half of them were burnt on one side where they were overcooked on the grill.
• Grilled Chicken Tenders – These tenders were black with over 50% covered in grill scrapings/chips that came off a grill that obviously had not been cleaned in a LONG time.
• Broccoli – Was partially brown and had obviously started turning.

One of the grossest take out meals I’ve ever had. Not an exaggeration. I had extremely low expectations to start with ordering Cracker Barrel delivery but this definitely surpassed them in the worst way. Didn’t even eat most of it because we were worried about getting sick.

We went to the Cracker Barrel in Florence, South Carolina and it was the worst experience ever. Long wait for the food and when it came the food was cold. I also ordered the special for Wednesday which was chicken broccoli with cheese sauce covered with crumbs. I got a poor excuse of that dish. There was a small piece of chicken covered with cheese gravy sauce and not one piece of broccoli and no crumbs. I would never return to that restaurant again.

If you’ve read my many reviews, I always try to see the glass half full. Recently my travels took me to Florence SC and I visited the Cracker Barrel restaurant there.
I was disappointed with the quality of food. I have eaten many a meal at Cracker Barrel over the years yet it seems the quality of food has gotten worse. First, I asked for water with lemon and I was informed that they were currently out of lemons. Then I looked for the Hamburger Steak on the menu and was informed that it was taken of the new menu but you can still order it which I did. When the meal was served the Hamburger Steak I ordered looked like a hamburger. The corn kernels were the smallest I had ever seen at Cracker Barrel and the creamed potatoes were overly firm. After eating what I could I decided to order desert so I placed an order for my favorite desert at Cracker Barrel peach cobbler and ice cream to which I was informed that they no longer serve peach cobbler. I just shook my head in disbelief and muttered “What has happened to Cracker Barrel?” The service was excellent. My waitress, Iris, was prompt, courteous and pleasant. I hope Cracker Barrel will devote attention to the quality of their food instead of media exposure.
The bathroom was sloppy, see picture attached.

I went on Sunday because it was the only day to get chicken potpie, only to find out it's off the menu. As if this wasn't bad enough, I ordered my second favorite (grandpas country breakfast). When it came out it wasn't hot and the chicken was old and dried up. Not to mention it is about half the size it used to be. I said something to the waitress about the chicken. She said yeah they usually cook a bunch all at once and keep it in a hot box. Whatever that is? It really looks like they tried to warm it in a panini type grill. She said she would get the manager. She came back and said the manager took off the soup that I ordered and the drinks and only charged me for a vegetable plate? I was like huh? I seen the manager go off and walk into the back never to come to the table. Sad to say this place has went down hill. Nice waitress though. Just poor management. Can't even come and speak to your customer. Have a nice day!

Was in Florence sc on August 14, took too long to get food, biscuits were hard, country fry steak was not fresh, gravy was thicker then mash potatoes, food was microwaved, the place was so cold, that our hair was blowing around. Manager refused to turn air down

No longer interested in Cracker Barrel with this new brand and the alignment with the LGBT community.

We're Cracker Barrel frequent flyers and I have to say that this is one of the best ones we've seen. We were traveling with 4 of our grandchildren. The host was incredibly friendly and our waitress (Shania) was awesome. She was right on top with filling our needs. The food was all cooked perfectly and the store shone with cleaniness. The manager there needs to be proud of his entire team.
