Kiyah was so sweet and helped us so much! This was our first time here and she helped us with any questions and gave great recommendations! The custard was SO GOOD we got the strawberry cheesecake, Dr Pepper shake and the turtle shake. All 3 were truly 10/10! The fries are good and the burger were yummy too will totally be nice. But truly great service makes everything better and the service was exceptional!

The food at this location is as good as any other Freddy's I've been to. What makes this one better is the service! They will give Chick-fil-A a run for their money when it comes to service! Great job, Freddy's!!!

Well. The young people working needed. Some guidance, for sure. Their work seemed okay, and they were pleasant. However, the custard machine was malfunctioning, with custard continuously flowing out of theachine without aviation of the handle. The workers were sharing a scoop to scoop the custard as it free fell I to the basin. The scoops were being placed into shakes and sundaes for the customers. Not sure that is something that wouldn't be frowned upon by DHEC. None of the employees seemed to complain though. They were either accustomed to the conditions, or just simply accepted what they could not control.
There was a 2.5 gallon bucket in the lobby where customers would line up to order, that was being used for a continuous leak from the ceiling. There was a caution sign on the floor, but the floor was still being wet, and there did not seem to be any plans to repair or correct the hazard.
The remainder of the lobby/dining area did appear well kept and tidy. Just a few things that required attention, caught my attention.
This is the first time I tried custard, and I actually Googled for a ice cream/custard location as I passed through Florence.
Maybe if I stop by again, things will have been repaired. The burger menu looked pretty good.

Freddy's reminds me of an old fashioned diner. Or Johnny rockets. Hands down the Freddy's frozen custard and shakes are a good way to cool off.
Restaurantji Recommends
We stopped for ice cream. The sundaes were good but a little expensive.
Real sad you can not go to Freddys Frozen Custard to get a chili dog. They are out of buns.
Absolutely delicious place I would highly recommend the brisket burger which has mushrooms and swiss on it the upcharge for the cheddar bites is highly worth it as well anytime that I'm in that part of Florence I make sure to swing by and grab myself a burger not to mention that their old-time style milkshakes and concrete can take you back to when you were a kid
Fast food done right and the shakes are to die for. Highly recommended for a quick bite.
We just paid $25 for two burgers, a fry and an order of onion rings .. it was all cold and greasy tasting. Salty doesn't begin to describe the aftertaste. The buns were smashed and tasted stale. The meat was cooked out of flavor. Again everything was dead cold. Disappointing.
