We were there a few days before Christmas so it was pretty busy. Took a number and waited our turn. We weren't in a hurry so the wait was not a problem. It wasn't very long either. We come specifically for the gingerbread men and whatever else strikes our fancy. The gingerbread men are a little spicy and chewy... They are absolutely perfect. I am not in Florence often but this is a stop I make every time before heading home just to get a couple of cookies!

I grew up in Pittsburgh and I am used to real Italian food and real baked goods. I have lived in the south for almost 28 years, and i have yet to find a decent pizza, or any Italian food. Yesterday, I was in an area of Florence I had never been before, and I saw the sign for Freeman's Bakery. I can tell just by looking at baked goods of they are good or not, and let me tell you, I wanted to taste everything in this bakery!! On top of their beautiful and delicious baked goods, they have an employee that is sociable, very friendly, and sweet. Thank you, Caroline, for being so sweet!!! Definitely worth checking out!!

The best bakery ever I grew up with them every year for our birthday we'd have a cake from here an it was the best we looked forward to it every year. Now that I'm grown I go there from time to time for doughnuts, pastries, cookies, cakes, breads, etc. Absolutely no one can beat them at any of their desserts!!!
First time at this bakery. Lots of old fashioned pastries, cookies with pies and delicious varieties of pastry favorites. And they are Delicious!!

I do not have a sweet tooth normally, but when I do crave sweets, this is my go-to. From donuts to pies, they have you covered. I even grab some cookies sometimes. The one item I tried they do not make, macaroons. They told me they had them shipped from France, and I believe it because they are the best I have had.
