We stopped here on a road trip due to the reviews expecting a decent Italian meal. We are well traveled internationally and this is one the best meals we have ever had. I don’t write reviews often, but this place is a hidden gem. I wish I could eat here all the time. The butter - they do something to it. I wish I knew exactly what. Maybe vanilla? The mussels come in a sauce I could drink. The bread service is next level - The desserts are fresh daily you’ll need to ask but we left with fresh cannoli! There is a mildly spicy seafood pasta that is out of this world. The service is friendly and attentive as well. I felt like we were regulars. We will be coming back ANYTIME we pass through. Ten stars

My wife and I went to the pre-Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday night. From the offered menu my wife chose the prime rib with roasted potatoes. I opted for the salmon in lemon butter sauce with roasted potatoes. We both had the Ceasars salad. Prior to the salad we were brought bread with olive oil and a soft chef made butter that was out of this world. All of our food was cooked to our perfection and very delicious. We ended our meal with doubled layer chocolate cake which we shared. Our server was Dillon and his attention to detail was impeccable. I would recommend reservations as we did. This is not a fast in and out meal as each order is personaly prepared by chef Alex in detailed fashion. I'm sure you will be impressed. This was not our first visit and I'm sure not our last.

Giving a restaurant one star is harsh, especially when their food is very good.
However, when the restaurant lists one wine on the menu, serves you another, of a lower quality (chianti riserva vs a regular chianti - the difference is that the riserva is aged longer), charges you the same.
When they are caught and the manager is informed he does nothing to rectify the situation.
For the non-wine enthusiasts out there, this is the equivalent of ordering Coke and getting a Pepsi.
This restaurant is not worthy of your patronage.
If they lie about that, what else are they lying about? The ingridients? How well they wash their dishes?
Even after talking to the owner he didn't offer to take a portion of the wine cost off. He just threw the server under the bus.
Dinner cost - $200.

This was our first time at this Italian restaurant, IL Buongustaio. My girlfriend and I say for thirty minutes for our caprese salad. A different server than ours brought us bread. My girlfriend ordered the lasagna and it was fast from good. I ordered the saltimbocca and it was a poor expression of the dish. I choose to have pasta with my meal and it was way overdone and looked like it was batch cooked then warmed when served. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Our server took off the bottle of wine we order which was nice, but it didn't make up for the time we waited and the poor food we received. The lasagna was made with mushy precooked lasagna noodles and we will definitely NOT go back. So disappointed!!
Staff appeared very attentive and knowledgeable, it one main meal ordered as a special was not as described. Branzino was dry and bland. Saw the same special at next table with cherry tomatoes on top as described but our dish was served without them. Waiter said chef apologized but we were offered no accommodation whatsoever such as dollars off or free desert. They made a big mistake on a special and reaction was “oh well”.

Great food and great service! We will definitely be back. We got the lasagna and duck. Both were cooked perfectly! Our server was very nice and informative. There is a small wait time (everything is made to order) which is not an issue for us, we appreciated it!
