Last Saturday afternoon, I ordered a flounder dinner plate from Jumping Js. Unfortunately, about an hour after eating it, I became extremely sick. My stomach was in severe pain, and I ended up vomiting. The pain was so intense that I even considered going to the hospital. I went to bed early and woke up the next day feeling slightly better, but my stomach was still sore.
I’ve eaten at this restaurant before and had no issues—I previously got a burger and fries, and everything was fine. However, this recent experience with the flounder was very concerning, and I wanted to share my feedback.

I had the flounder and chips. The flounder could have had a little more meat to it, but it was fine as far as flavor. I couldn't eat the french fries, because they were over fried and cold. The tea was good though. I think in the case of the freeze being an edible the price was a little high. The one piece of flounder and fries plus a little bit of coleslaw was around $15.

Our visit was 21 Dec 2024. We had 7 kids & 3 adults for lunch. The food was good. They keep the environment cleaned & wiped down. Staff were professional, in a safe area. They provide nice size plates. Only problem was the unavailability to buy separate additional sides without buying a whole plate and macaroni and cheese looked like it was boxed kraft, but kids liked it.
Kid-friendliness: Has plates for kids.

Update: I will say that things have improved since this visit as of Nov. 1st, 2024. Although this episode should have never happened, at least your products and service have improved. TP Flippa deserves some credit for that.
You dropped the ball today (Jan. 12, 2021) Jumpin J's. Enough so, I must comment on my experience.
I patron your restaurant quite regularly and have been for years. Occasionally my order may sway a little left or right of center but for the most, always correct and delicious. Not today.
First, my bacon double cheeseburger had no bacon. Also, whomever assembled my burger started to put ketchup on it, then realized it wasn't supposed to and proceeded to scrape it off. Well you left some and I HATE KETCHUP. Burger King does this all the time (they don't bother to remove it and just get your order wrong). I expect this from Burger King but not Jumpin J's. Was it too much to just get a new top bun? As much as all your customers pay for their food, I think not.
I did call when I realized there was no bacon and the ketchup incident. I was asked to bring my burger back. REALLY? Also, I was told I had to be there by 9:25 and it was already 9:05. I was home and not going back out and had already taken two or three bites once my dilemma was realized. I didn't even mention the fries were not fresh and tasted like they had been cooked prior to my order being placed. Also, the onion rings were drenched in grease like they were cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough. I was willing to let that go but since I was provoked to leave a negative review, I might as well mention it all. OH! One more thing. While I was waiting at one of the pull-up spots, I realized I forgot to ask for honey mustard. I called the restaurant while waiting for my order and asked the lady to please include some while letting her know who I was and what spot I was waiting. Well guess what, no honey mustard. Didn't mention that either when I called about the burger.
So, I hope one can see why I feel justified in leaving this review. I do hope you aren't setting a new standard with your business like so many other businesses have chosen to do. This could have all been handled with that one phone call. I think I'll give you guys a break for a while.

Went here to celebrate my grandmothers birthday and drove from virginia this monday 9-2-24 at approximately 7:30pm first and foremost the food was great but service here SUCKS! The way the manager on duty (heavy set caucasian women with red hair) talked to the african american staff members was absolutely disgusting, in addition there was an elder lady who worked in the back kitchen area and this manger showed no respect at all even threw a plate at the elder lady due to an order being plated wrong !! It’s 2024 I thought SLAVERY WAS OVER ! I’m beyond disappointed at the behavior I witnessed at this establishment and hope this review is seen and handled by the right person!!
The food is amazing the first three times ordering everyone was friendly. My experience on yesterday was horrible it’s a older caucasian lady in there that is rude very rude. I stood at her counter for about 3 minutes she didn’t even acknowledge that I was there nor tired to help me. I placed an order when I first went there I was able to substitute my kids sides for their kids meals always did even if it mean I paid extra no problem. Yesterday she insisted that I couldn’t and they don’t which I know they do. If you go please go during morning shift and certain days in the afternoon. If she’s there she make rules that aren’t rules she just makes them up herself. Overall the food is amazing you will not be disappointed but the customer service from her ruins everything.

The food was so good. I got a 20 piece grilled shrimp skewer seasoned perfectly, onion rings, hushpuppies, coleslaw, salad, and large tea. It's all less than $20. My wife got the Friday special, which was a big pile of fried shrimp, french fries, salad, and since she doesn't eat slaw, she got extra hushpuppies and large sweet tea all less than $15. We brought over half of both plates home. My new favorite place to eat in Florence, South Carolina.

The food was delicious! My son and daughter got the friend shrimp and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. They gave generous portions of shrimp. The restaurant was clean and workers were all very friendly also! We will definitely be going back.
