Southern Hops Brewing Co.

Traveling north, we decided to stop off after reading the reviews. We shared a delicious meat pizza that had plenty of toppings and a well prepared charred crust. The beer selection, guided by our fine polite server Rylan, was varied. Both of our beers were excellent. Highly recommended!

Stopped in after dinner for a few drinks- variety of their own craft beer on tap, or cocktails if you prefer. We did not order food but the pizza did look delicious!

Spent the night in Florence and decided to stop by Southern Hops for dinner and a couple of beers. It turned out to be a great choice.

Even though it was warm enough in November to sit outside, we opted for an inside table. The interior is spacious, open, and clearly set up to handle a large crowd. There’s a stage for live music as well, though there wasn’t a band playing during our visit—which I actually appreciated after a long drive from NY. It made for a nice, quiet evening.

My wife and I shared the pretzel starter, and for our meals we had the shrimp burrito and the BLT. Everything was tasty. I had two Fog Switch NEIPAs, and my wife enjoyed a Sunset Summer (if I remember correctly). Both beers were excellent.

Our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. I wish I remembered his name so I could mention it here.

All in all, a great stop. I’d happily return the next time I’m in Florence.

Fun Outdoor Venue

We hosted a couples’ baby shower in the Beer Garden, and it was fantastic. The outdoor space was spacious and inviting, with plenty of space for tables and games. The sail flags and rustic pergola added the perfect touch of charm.

Ari was incredible to work with—responsive, helpful, and on top of every detail. On the day of the event, the staff was attentive and made everything run smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy the celebration.

Pet-friendly dining option! After (or before) visiting Buc-ees in Florence, SC, get off I-95 and make your way to this local gem for a super tasty menu! My husband and I stopped for a late lunch with our dog in tow and Southern Hops' porch was just what we needed to stretch our legs and let our pooch stretch hers after hours cooped up in the car. Our server brought our girl a bowl of water which was much appreciated! The owner was super accommodating, especially when we thought we had misplaced our dog's leash. He went inside and was already making a makeshift leash from a shoelace when we found ours. Enjoyed talking with him while we waited for our food. My husband had the Lowcountry Shrimp Burrito w/ slaw and I had the Pretzel Pub Chicken Sandwich w/pasta salad. So good!Learned they had a second location in Murrells Inlet, SC which we somehow have missed when we've been there on several occasions. We'll definitely visit next time and have a beer or two since we won't have a long drive in front of us. Thanks for the great service and excellent food!

Had a flight of their 4 best selling beers. All 4 were great tasting for their perspective types. Plus the bartender is in the right business. Alex really know how to take care of the customer !
