It may not look like much from the outside, but the selection inside is great and very tasty! The proprietor was very nice and helpful. All 4 of us had a nice time!

We enjoyed our visit! We asked a lot of questions and Mr. Winter's answered each and every one. The tasting was also very informative and extremely fun. I would highly recommend a vist to Straw Hat Distillery!

Today's travel is Charleston to Florence SC. A fairly short trip to stay at a Harvest Hosts stop in our RV.

Straw Hat Distillery, which is run by Stephen and offers small batch whiskeys and moonshine (moonshine makes me think of you mom 😃😉. Got you some blackberry moonshine 🤪). Picked up some bourbon, moonshine cherries and coffee moonshine for me lol. Can't wait to try them!

This place is a quick jump off of 95 in Florence. Definitely check it out!

Great selection of some really great liquors and liqueurs. Owner was very generous and knowledgeable during a tasting. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different and would like to support a small business.

Definitely worth a stop! We stayed overnight in our RV but the close proximity to the interstate makes this an easy in/out for anyone. Sample their inventory, you'll find lots to enjoy.

Drove from Columbia and it was SO great! Laid back and informal but informative and super friendly. Loved them all!

OMG, this distillery is small, but let me tell you, he has the best rye whiskey. I have been in a lot of distillery, and I am a rye whiskey drinker, and I love its rye whiskey. I recommend this place.

Locally owned, super delicious quality moonshine at reasonable prices. While all of the flavors available are great, the Lemon Drop, Red Raspberry, & the Cherry Bomb are personal favorites. Mixing equal parts of the Lemon Drop & Red Raspberry yields a luscious raspberry lemonade perfect for sipping by the pool. Highly recommend!!

What a great distillery stop! It's tucked away and worth seeking out. We loved the rye and rum, but also the different moonshine! Thank you, Stephen, for coming back to open up for us when we got there on the late side. We do appreciate it! We look forward to enjoying our moonshine cocktails ?!

This was our second visit to Straw Hat and it's all for the CHERRY BOMBS! The guys were super accommodating with us since we skidded in right at closing due to traffic on 95. They are located right off 95 in Florence, so whether you are headed north or south, you definitely want to stop by on a Saturday. Don't miss the LemonDrop mixed with Sweet Tea (husband's favorite)! Marc made some great recommendations for dinner as well, so swing by and have some 'shine!
