We have stayed at this hotel, successfully, many times before. It’s a good place to stop on our way to Hilton Head. This will be the last time. The staff was unprofessional, not welcoming, provided no service. and the breakfast was horrible. I literally didn’t take one bite of my avocado toast. Where was the avocado? It looked as though the toast had been spread something green that had then been wiped off. Disgusting. McDonalds would have been a better choice. I am a lifetime Titanium Elite member with Marriott and ( other than last years trip to Paris) this is the first bad experience I have had with Marriott. Extremely disappointed. I couldn’t understand a word the guy who checked us in said. No one said good morning or acknowledged our presence. We ordered breakfast and sat down. After we ordered someone behind us ordered a bagel and coffee. The person behind the counter make his breakfast and delivered it to him. Then as we sat there, she looked over and suddenly it occurred to her that she had not made our breakfast or given us our coffee. Oh! So she made my coffee. I had to go back to the counter and ask where my husband’s coffee was. Oh! And there was no one else in line placing a breakfast order so it wasn’t that she was too busy. When we asked if they had orange juice she literally yelled across the restaurant to the front desk, “Hey, y’all have any orange juice over there?” Lastly, the coffee delivered in a Starbucks cup was definitely NOT Starbucks. I ordered my husband an Americano because he doesn’t like Starbucks. I asked his to taste mine and he agreed it tasted like Maxwell house. All in all, a bad experience.
The pros: comfortable bed, good shower, up to date TV and pretty clean although the sofa was pretty grumpy on the arms). The cons: not only no free breakfast (which I don’t think is a thing at courtyards) but not even free coffee in the lobby. The Bistro in the lobby had a pretty limited menu. Like I said, the room was clean but terribly outdated. Most annoyingly, there were no USB ports to charge your cell phones. Spouse has to go across the way to the mall to get a usb wall charger. Sigh.
So overall poor experience; this will hurt my Marriott choices in the future. We got assigned the room across from a noisy elevator, despite my profile saying far from elevator, and the refrigerator was so loud I had to turn it off. The layout is very old, bathroom tiny and shower bathtub very very old; this must have been a different cheaper hotel chain in the past? The bed was comfortable. I got double charged for coffee in the morning. I should have been more aggressive at righting these wrongs, but alas I didn’t. So I’ll be careful and stay elsewhere in Florence next time.
Lobby nice, front desk personnel excellent, it all ends there. Room was dirty (waste basket not emptied and food from previous guests on floor). Marriott is better than this. Very dated and room configured in a way that made it hard to get in and out without bumping into furniture.
We are so used to certain Marriott and Courtyard standards that we didn't bother to read the TA reviews. Biiiiiiiiiig mistake. This hotel is a dump. First signs appeared in the elevator which had a dirty carpet unvacuumed for years. The room confirmed those suspicions. It was old, circa 1970s, with dated furniture, tiny bathroom, and a 50-year old a/c which was blowing smelly hot air. We had to turn it off and open the balcony door to let some fresh air in even though the outside temperature was slightly above freezing. To add insult to injury the price of this pit was $130. Shame on Marriott.
Clean but in need of an upgrade, especially the bathroom. Customer service was very good. Plenty of restaurants close by. Conveniently located near the I-95. Moderately priced. No complimentary breakfast.
WOW where to start had a visit Marriott Courtyard Florence from when we checked in with Taneya Studivent at the front desk to the entire staff our stay was just a very fun experience@ We got to enjoy the indoor pool and the bar with excellent food and a really special bar attendant who added to our overall experience...Thanks to all and we will be back again very soon...
This hotel is clean and comfortable, but the rooms can use some upgrades. There was severe rust on the back of the door hinges in the bathroom. The tile in the bathroom was moldy in the corners. I must say the food was great the last time we visited, but this time the restaurant was closed. That was a disappointment. Overall the place was clean.
Stop here a few times a year - Always great customer service - this trip Chris M was handling the front desk. I arrived at same time as 2 other groups. Chris made check in quick and painless while offerring information on surrounding area and hotel offerrings. Will definetly stop here again in November as I will be traveling up and down east coast again. Chris M - Thanks so much for your help! Look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks.

Other than the lobby which has been updated to Marriott standards the rooms are throw back to the 80'90's. Furniture is old , worn, nicked and scratched. Bathrooms our small with stained tubs and stained floors. Closed had door removed but metal track in floor was filled with dirt and debris. Ceiling had large stains. No technology updates i.e. usb connections. All in all how this property remains a Marriott is beyond me and I have in stayed in Marriotts for over 30 years.

Tub was gross. We thought there was sand in it, but it was just stained brown. Toilet bowl was dirty and had things floating in it when we arrived. Big stains on carpet, ripped up lamp shades, and the toilet paper holder looked Iike one you would see in a gas station restroom. There was toilet paper shoved in the peep hole and the door lock was jammed. If I didn't arrive so late after an 8 hour drive I would have left. Don't waste your money!
We have stayed here several times driving between the New York area and Florida and decided it was time to write a review. PROS: Right off Route 95 so a convenient stop when driving. Decent size room. Older, small but decent bathroom. Good shower water pressure. Good lighting on the bathroom sink. Large LG TV (we signed into Netflix and watched a movie). Microwave/fridge/couch in the room. Staff is always friendly. 3rd floor room was quiet. AC unit was nice and cold and quiet. I was surprised how many people were eating dinner in the lobby when you're surrounded by about 25 fast casual restaurants (everything from Waffle House to Olive Garden) but maybe it's because they have a bar. CONS: Coffeemaker in the room was great, but came with packets of "whitener colorant for coffee or tea". (It sounds like a chemical that turns your coffee lighter.) Why not creamer? No free coffee in the lobby either (but they did sell Starbucks coffee). You can easily drive to Dunkin, Panera or an actual Starbucks and pick up breakfast for the road if you prefer. OVERALL: Safe, clean, no problems for a quick stay when passing through.
Never had to pay for coffee before in Hotel!! Very slow service!! My sister was waiting for her coffee and it was sitting on counter. My sister had to ask is this my coffee!!
