Ordered fresh pecans, chocolate-covered pecans, roasted and salted pecans, and a large tin filled with assorted pecans. The fresh pecans were partly fresh, partly stale. I was able to use all for baking but couldn’t serve them. The quality of pecans in the large tin varied —some were way too hard—so we didn’t offer the pecans in the tin to guests and ended up throwing almost half away.
If you like pecans, then this is the place for you. They have the biggest varieties anywhere. You name it, they got it. Old fashioned candies, soft drinks, ice cream, plantion stone ground grits, plantion grown rice that smell heavenly. Clean restrooms. If you are in Florence, SC, it is a must to visit! The people who own it are very friendly and are truly glad that you stopped by.
Oh my! The layered caramel and chocolate cake!! Kiyomi and I loved it. The ice cream paired excellently. It was our first time but surely we will be back. The staff was warm and positive and welcomed us as we entered. The young lady patiently guided us through our options. Oh the options! This will definitely be our Saturday lunch destination next weekend inshallah.
