The food at this restaurant is tasty, but I found a hair in my dish. The service is quite slow – the waiters seem to ignore you for about 20 minutes before taking your order. Additionally, the waiting time for food is around 20-30 minutes. Overall, the experience could be better if they improved cleanliness and service.

Our $15 omelettes tasted like burnt vegetable oil.we waited several minutes for someone to appear at the hostess stand. We waited several minutes on the server and there were only two tables seated in the restaurant, then the server served the table seated after us first. When the server saw we only took one bite of our omelets and sat them aside she never asked if anything was wrong with our food.. We didn’t mention it because we figured we would just get more bad food as a replacement.. the coffee was okay and the view of the beach was nice. Btw omelets should always be cooked in real butter….

While our food was mostly good, we had Beth as our server and received little service. From the beginning, our server greeted us with a standoffish attitude (which we could only assume was due to our younger age and the assumption that we would not tip well, which is not at all the case). We were made aware that the chips for the chips and queso appetizer needed a few extra minutes to be fried which we were fine with but then the queso in our appetizer came out cold and at the same time as our main dishes. One of our main dishes came out wrong and Beth did not come back to check in on our table at all, we had to grab the attention of another server who assisted in fixing the issue. We were ignored as Beth came out to check on other tables on the patio and then turned around before checking on our table. We were unable to order additional drinks like we had wanted and did not see her once between the delivery of our food and asking for the check.

Had an amazing mini-vacation at the Tides Hotel and the Blu Beach Bar & Grill. The hospitality that I experienced was immeasurable. EVERYBODY made me feel special. And I felt that what they expressed was truly genuine. I will return!!!

This is exactly the kind of place the locals despise. Me too.

We were really excited to go here and sat on the patio for brunch, it was terrible. Beautiful view of the ocean, however that was it. It took 22 min to get our drinks that were literally just mimosas. Then we ordered and our food took 45 min, they were not busy. When we finally got our food my husband had unmelted cheese on his omelette and the breakfast tacos literally had a slice of cheese on them, not shredded cheese a slice. It was terrible, I never ever give bad reviews but this was super warranted. Do not go here, go to Rita’s it’s worth any wait.

The food is very plain and talk about the nachos are bad, they charge for the main thing and the cheese tastes very cheap and the guacamole barely has a taste and the music is way to loud causing me to yell every time I wanna speak and still can barley hear me

Didn't get a chance to order food. I got there shortly after they opened. Sat down at the bar to order and waited 25 minutes without anyone coming over to me. There was only one other table. Horrible staff. I left and went to Rita's.

My first restaurant in South Carolina after moving here from the west coast. I was pleasantly surprised the soup of the day was delicious with a little spice and he crab dill sandwich, view of the beach (restaurant was right on the sand) friendly staff! Came back again for dinner with my wife when she arrived in SC. Second time did not disappoint.

The salmon dinner with spinach and rice was good kind of bland but it was good. The dry Cajun chicken also a plus taste more of the dry rub seasoning on it. The outside bar area felt great enjoying the weather. I ordered water so I didn’t really bother the server. The food came out to about $62 ..

Great atmosphere directly on the beach. Inside dining room is very nice and they have tables outside with beach view, plus a beach bar! Food is great. Loved the French fries and salmon salad. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Drinks were refilled often. I highly recommend BLU when in Folly Beach!
