I stood in the street and looked over the pictures of food offerings of the restaurants in this close area and decided to try Coconut Joe's. By the time I left I knew I had made the right decision. Ordered the Grouper bites and shrimp nachos. Got extra sauces, cocktail, mango habanero and tater, along with the sauce that came with the fish. My wife and I enjoyed everything. The service and atmosphere were amazing! The place was clean. Just look at all the amazing pictures of the food people have submitted. And we took food with us since they give you more than most can eat.

Never again. Can’t review the food because we never got it. The restaurant was not full and there was at least 3 staff members on the floor. They were not swamped so the service we received was inexcusable.

The waitress asked if we wanted appetizers and then each of the first three we chose she said “We’re out of those.” How about say what you do have before even asking?? 25 minutes after placing a very simple order for 4 (2 burgers, a salad, and an appetizer as an entree), we still didn’t have our food. The waitress kept coming by asking “Is everything ok?” Why would you even ask that before people have their food??? No, everything is not ok. We don’t have any food.

The table behind us came in after we did and was either given our food or they just happened to order the exact same 4 dishes. At that point, I asked for the check with just our drinks. 2 fountain drinks, one tea, one lemonade… $16 😑.

All you can drink and eat crab legs for New Year's was 8/10. The only negative was how the majority of the seating was located on the open patio in 40-degree weather. The restaurant needed several patio heating towers upstairs. Also, It was a struggle getting utensils for the crabs. The DJ played great mixes! The unlimited drinks were flowing. Bathroom was clean. Everyone ate until they couldn't eat anymore. Yummy sausage and fries. Tenders looked a little dry but I didn't check. The tasty crabs were steaming every time they came out! Servers were very friendly! Diverse crowd. The price was right. We came from PA and OH, thanks for a great time SC.

We visited on a Thursday for the all you can eat crab legs special. Our reservation was for 7:45. We arrived at 7:30 and were promptly seated. We ordered immediately. We specifically asked if any sides came with the crab legs and were told they included corn, sausage, and potatoes with the first round. Each round of crab legs after that did not. When our first round arrived at 8:30, there were no sides and no explanation. When we asked about them, we were told they were out of sides. We proceeded to eat. A few minutes later a manager came to our table to inform us that several other guests had came in after us and ordered the crab special and they did not have enough crab legs to accommodate everyone, so we would only be allowed one additional round of the all you can eat crab legs. He then very rudely informed us that they were about to close at 9:00 anyway. We had waited for an hour for our first plate and then were treated like we were in the wrong for being there so close to closing time. We then asked if there would be a price reduction since we received no sides and it was not all you can eat at that point. We received a $4 discount. Our server was very sweet and the food was good; however, it was very poor management. We will not return.

Went here because the local restaurant nearby was busy. I should have taken that as a sign because the place was empty when we arrived and yet we still had to wait over 45 minutes for food. When it arrived it truly was not worth the wait, everything was greasy, and not flavorful. The fries themselves tasted like they must have been fried in the same oil as the fish and the oil hadn’t been changed in awhile. The staff were friendly but clearly this location has reached its end as they were not familiar with the menu, and seemed very unfamiliar with the location. The atmosphere was a surprising amount of obnoxious drunk people especially being only 1pm. The restaurant itself appeared clean but very poorly maintained. Save yourself the headache, disappointment, and stomach ache, and go somewhere else.

The burger was gross, a hard flavorless hockey puck with a flavorless covering of cheese. The meat was dry and questionable.

Ok ok I didn’t have any of the food so can’t rate that but they have an Arcade and a few machines were busted. But most work so they are pretty neat.

We chose this restaurant on Folly Beach because my son was proposing to his girlfriend, and we wanted to make the moment special. We noted the occasion on OpenTable, but nothing was acknowledged during our visit, which was disappointing—especially since that was a big reason we picked this spot. Had we known, we probably would’ve gone to Hall’s, where they always make special occasions feel special.

The food was good and came out quickly. Our server was efficient but not very personable—she took our order and delivered our food, but there wasn’t much warmth or engagement.

Overall, if you just want quick food and a drink, it’s fine. But for a meaningful atmosphere or a family/friend celebration, I’d skip it and choose somewhere that puts more care into special moments.

The food was abysmal. Never had dried grits with potatoes in it. I thought the grits were famous but these were so bad. Just seemed like there was little seasoning on things. The shrimp was over cooked, the fish was only average, the crab dip was just a bunch of lump crab, no flavor or seasoning or dippiness. The coleslaw was from last month, couldn't eat a single bite had to spit it out. Waitress was great but goodness me, the food can not be this bad all the time, right?
