Service was nice and there was some nice love music with this dude jamming in the guitar. Oysters, nevertheless, were only ok.
amazing food , great staff, and a killer atmosphere. we come back each and every year.
First time in folly beach, stopped by the crab shack. Amazing service and even more delicious food!

We started off next door at The Raw Bar which is practically connected to The Crab Shack. The Raw Bar is just a Bar lol no food.
It was a weekend and fairly busy at the beach. But we got seated at The Crab Shack just before it got really busy.
There was live music that day and we enjoyed the band.
We started off with She Crab Soup and Shacks Chilled Blue Crab Dip for an appetizer. Both were good.
Next we split the Fried Captains Platter. There is plenty to share! The food tasted great to us.
Great service despite it being very busy. We'd definitely east here again.

The food was great!! Service was decent, not overly friendly, or anything special. The restaurant itself seemed slightly dingy, but they had live music (a younger girl with her guitar) who was so peaceful.
All around a good experience

The food and service was amazing. I highly recommend this place. I came with my mom and we ordered the crab legs. It tasted so fresh and delicious. Moreover you get a lot for your money’s worth. We will definitely be coming back here!!!

We ordered the prawns, crab cakes, and fries. The food was tasty, but a bit too oily for our liking. The place has a great vibe though, with music and dancing that adds to the experience. A fun spot to hang out, but the food could use a little less oil.

Great seafood a must try if you’re in the Charleston SC area. But slight suggestion locate hostess stand away from live entertainment.

Service was okay, but not the most attentive. The FOOD though, we ordered a crab and shrimp broil and it took us probably 25 minutes just to make it through the old crab legs. They felt as if they were left-overs from the day prior.

We ate here during our vacation and really enjoyed it. The service, food, and laid-back atmosphere were great. It wasn't too hot, so we were able to enjoy sitting outside. I got the shrimp and crab bucket. The shrimp were enormous, and the crab legs were probably the best I have ever had.

We stopped by for lunch at the Crab Shack at Folly Beach. Parking is limited and you may have to walk a couple blocks.
Thankfully we got a table inside right away.
I have ordered crab & shrimp boil which comes with potatoes and corn. The crab was good and plenty but shrimp was overcooked and it was not deveined which is gross. So keep that in mind if you are also grossed out by this probably skip on shrimp.
My understanding is that shrimp should always be deveined or at least purged, not sure why it was considered OK to serve it like this.
