I LOVE Lowlife bar!! The servers and bartenders are incredible! I came by for lunch and the server brought me all the different dipping sauces for the shrimp sandwich. The customer service is 1000/10 and the food and drinks tasted amazing. Highly recommend!
Lowlife is a beautiful, beer-soaked contradiction—part dive, part daydream, all heart, like Kerouac in board shorts. The shrimp tastes like it cursed out God before hitting the fryer, and the drinks forgive every sin you ever surfed past. It’s the last honest bar before the ocean swallows you whole—and you’ll beg it not to.
Folly is our go-to beach when vacationing in Charleston, and we always make time to stop by Lowlife for lunch or an early dinner. The food is always cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere is laid-back. Perfect for a quick and easy meal with kids. Can’t wait to come back next year!
